Curious if your drive modes do the same as mine in respect retaining Chassis settings (suspension & ride height) but not ReCup options?

In my 2022 CT 4S from day one back in Dec 2021, I was able to set whatever preferred ride height I wanted in each driving mode and the car/PCM would retain these after shutdown and restart. I have all my chassis height mode settings in low (other than for Gravel mode) and this as I say is retained i.e. I do not need the Individual mode to support this.

However, when I try to turn ReCup off in Sport Mode (it is on by default in my car) it never sticks i.e. on shutdown and restart the ReCup is back on every time. Now here is where of course Individual mode is useful as it appears to retain all toggled preferences. However as I can toggle on any suspension or ride height setting in any of the other modes it is really only the ReCup optionality that Individual mode is useful for.

More an observation than an issue of course and just curious if a std. thing :). I'm assuming all other 22's (not as certain re 20/21 model years) behave in this exact same way w.r.t. ReCup being toggled on or off in the Mode setup pages on the PCM?

The only thing that I've been able to get stick is that I have the suspension lowered to the sport level in Normal.

Interesting - how the heck can my car have this ability to retain chassis heights in different modes and other cars of the same model year not - weirdness continues I guess.

And thats a model year 2020! Have had others in the forum mention that they do not retain the ride height changes - seems to be consistently inconsistent!

Wait, so just for my understanding (I'm waiting for my car on order), you can change the default chassis height in each mode as a permanent change? I've heard when you turn the car on it defaults to normal mode.

I was thinking about ordering lowering links/CETE module, but think I actually am ok with the "low" mode's height, so if I can set this as my permanent height in normal when the car starts, I won't need to lower it anymore

Also just to confirm, this can be done without the sport chrono package?

Yes my understanding from reading posts on 20/21 models prior to my getting my 2022 car in Dec 2021 was that only Individual mode allowed you to 'permanently' change or retain default settings on power up - power down i.e. create your own custom setup.

BUT, as I said, I can most def change Chassis suspension (normal, sport, sport+) and height (low, lowered, regular, range, gravel and lift) in each driving mode in my PCM and they are retained. So again as I said, I have all my modes with Low selected and it sticks - permanent. HOWEVER as commented by the last poster here (and some others on the forum), it does not seem to be a universal thing even for 22's which is simply bizarre (not the choice but the inconsistency in the PCM).

Have to admit when I discovered my car could do this I did wonder what the point of the Individual mode was but there are other settings (ReCup) that can only be changed permanently when in that mode - don't ask me the logic as it is anything but clear to me! As far as Sport Chrono goes check the Good to Know app as I have it and don't know what happens when you don't :)

And in regards CETE I purchased and have mine - will be installing end of April and whilst I agree to some extent that the Low mode is not bad (and def smart if you drive through crappy roads constantly!), it still irks me when I see that mega gap even in that ride height! I was wondering too if and when I lower it more to sedan levels will it (albeit marginally!) improve drag a tiny bit on longer road trips - maybe enough to offset the electric power door option that filled my air vents :)

Want to bump this thread and ask people with more recent 2022 deliveries (or latest PCM with color logos). Can you all change suspension height in each driving mode in PCM and have that setting retained?

March 22 - MY22 CT4S retain height settings (not sure about chassis) but nothing else.

I think i read on here somewhere that cars aren't allowed to remember things like sports mode etc as the car has to default to the settings that were used for emissions (?!)/power levels etc submitted by the manufacturer to assorted regulatory bodies. I've noticed its the same in other (ICE) cars I've had too. So makes sense, if a little annoying.
