Hey,

Trying to figure out whether to use a timer or a profile to get the car to charge to 85% overnight. In Profiles the optimised charging option says 'charging of your vehicle is controlled intelligently and... the prices you have entered for your electricity tariff... are taken into account.' Where on earth do I enter my electric tariff information?

Will a Profile with a minimum charge set to 85% stop there, or keep going to 100%? I feel like that setting should be maximum, not minimum. I could use a timer, but as a 'ready time' wouldn't that mean for a smaller charge it doesn't start charging until the small hours, potentially missing the cheaper overnight tariff?

As you can probably tell I've got myself properly confused over this. How do you set up a scheduled, 85% charge, and have you told the car your tariff?

(and yes - I know there a school of thought that says it utterly unnecessary to limit to 85% anyway, but I really don't need it full every time so no harm)

Thanks!

Set a general profile with a preferred charging time between the times you want. Set a timer to finish at the end of that period at 85% (or your preferred target charge). The car will then try to charge the car up to your preferred max charge, preferably between the hours you specify and finish at the time set on the timer.

Ah, clever work-around - thanks!
The profiles really should have a 'maximum charge' option, especially as Porsche recommend limiting it.

It should definitely be simpler. But sadly it’s not. This works, I can confirm.
Note that the car will (I think), attempt to charge up to your target charge. This means if it needs to start earlier than the scheduled window, it will do

Tariffs only work in conjunction with the Porsche Home Energy Manager (HEM) which is an option and additional home kit to install.

Ah, there’s the answer. Thank you.
