Smart lift disappeared

Did the terminal 8 reset procedure and Smart Lift reappeared in the menu.

1. Remove the panel on the left side of the instrument cluster. Found it easiest to unclip from the bottom.
2. Remove Fuse 8
3. Lock your car and walk away for 20 mins
4. Turn On the car without the fuse
5. Reinsert Fuse 8
6. Allow the PCM to fully load and reconnect to data servers
7. Turn Off the car
8. Reinstall panel by aligning tabs and pushing the panel back in

Wouldn't unplugging the 12v battery achieve the same result? And it's less involved procedure

Maybe, but I'd rather not deal with touching the battery if I don't have to.

Yes that works just the same.

My car came back from Porsche service after the latest ARB and brake recall. And all my stored Smart Lift locations had disappeared. I tried the battery disconnect and all came back properly then.

Smart Lift stopped working and no Smart Lift menu.
I am not comfortable doing any fuses or disconnects.
I should be up for ARB7 software install soon and will address then.

Anyone had it magically appear back. Does PCM 2 finger reset helps at all?

Had the same recently and I also noticed that comfort access (that I'd magically had on the car), also stopped working. Both now seem like they are back again, but the smart lift has forgotten all of my saved points. I will test today as I have somewhere where I need to go twice and it needs a lift for the ridiculous car park speed 'bump' (more like dangerous road obstacle in this case).

The SmartLift menu and function came back after a day.
The only thing I can attribute this to is that I have been turning my BT on the phone OFF.
I will not be doing that again. Since SmartLift relies on Saved Locations, they may be stored under the Profile requiring the Phone to be connected.
