I have used different Anker products for years. As Grim noted, they are really good. Everyone has performed flawlessly (still does) for my business. .

Just sharing if it's useful for anyone - it's not the best charger, but as a backup/travel one, it's not bad and Anker is a good brand. Just $140 for BF/CM:

I have purchased this. It connects to a NEMA 14-50 RV outlet. The amp limit is actually favorable for us, as we want to provide electric car charging at a mountain cabin without guests maxing out the charging rate and overloading the circuit. I'll let you know next weekend how it works.

Wouldn’t you need to have a 120v cable as well to use it as a travel charger in the trunk? 120v access is slow but easier to find on the road than 220v.
If there was a 120V version I would buy it since the one that came with my Taycan is going to be used at 120V in my garage to slow charge over night to add 50 miles per day at most until I figure out a way to run 220v to my isolated garage.

I have had several Anker products which worked flawlessly, and several which failed, suggesting shortcuts in design or build quality. They are very prompt to replace failed chargers — but despite good customer service I dont think I would trust them with a high power application like this where it will operate unattended overnight. Your market is different in the US, but in Europe I would prefer an EU-designed EU-certified product, tested for compliance to rigorous standards, to a low-cost Chinese import for a power application.

Very good point. Thanks

I'll get a lot of grief for saying this, but the Porsche mobile charger with the upgraded/replaced NEMA 14-50 adapter works fine for emergency charging purposes. I know that the original NEMA 14-50 adapter wasn't beefy enough and overheated. And I know that the replacement adapter is backwards. But whatever. It works. And it won't burn down my garage. Furthermore, you can swap out the adapter for the NEMA 5-15, regular household 110v plug, and charge at 2-3 miles per hour (up to about 50 miles per day) if you're totally out of other options.

I used the porsche one as my primary charger and even though I had some issues originally (burned my plug), I continued to use it without any major issue.

Where did you get this Anker charger for $140?
Does it also have a 110v plug like the Porsche charging cable?

Amazon, search ANKER J1772, this has a Nemo 14–50 plug which connects to a Nema 14–50 “RV” Outlet. It’s different than the standard 240 V US dryer plug. And different again from the 110V adapter that Porsche sells.
