Hi
I am having an issue only from my home address, with My Porsche app and Connect app. I cannot access the car via the app, to preheat the car, for example. Both apps work fine in other locations, including my work address, but for some reason it rarely works from home. It does sometimes pick the car up at home when it's plugged in charging, but when it isn't it seems to lose all connection. Does anyone else have this issue?

Sounds like your car is getting poor cell reception at your home. I have a similar issue … my car gets poor reception in my driveway and doesn’t respond to the app. It works fine in my garage 🤷‍♂️

What is Vodafone reception like where you live, as that is what the car uses?

I don't have mine yet, well should have but delays are making it unbearable. I would think an easy solution for Porsche is to make it so the car can connect to the home WIFI, this way you can easily connect to the car and would make downloading software updates much faster and more reliable.

Connecting to Home WiFi or external hotspot is an option but only for Russian spec vehicles. No idea why it is restricted but it is.

Vodafone reception ain't too great at home - better at work. That's probably the issue! Thanks folks.

I'm definitely not going to chance buying a Russian vehicle at the moment 😂

A bit of 'ol sanctions busting to connect to wifi would be hard enough to explain alright!

Now that I'm home I've checked Vodafone coverage and signal here and it's actually very good. Any other ideas?

The connect app is working with the car tonight but Myporsche app is not connecting to car. I heard the connect app is being phased out soon but I have more success with this app than with Myporsche app.

I have more success with the Connect App too.
To the extent that I stopped using the MyPorsche app again.

I was having problems with the car not connecting to either app at all after a recent OTA software updates on 14th June.

Eventually I did the 12v battery disconnect (posted on here) and that got everything working again.

Thanks for that! It's frustrating how the apps can change their reliability day to day.
I have not checked MyPorsche app for a while
Just tried logging in now and it's not having it. Just the little circle at the top rotating.

Went onto Connect and it connected straight away.

I really don't like the MyPorsche app.

The circle can be misleading and the features may work regardless.

It started off better but now just as cr@p as the one it replaced.
