I'm having a similar issue, except My Porsche has simply stopped talking to the car full stop - nothing since 15th June. Logging into Porsche Connect via web browser has a similar problem.
Tring to remote lock/unlock throws an error and suggests contacting support.
Meanwhile, car is functioning normally with all services enabled.
Tried to send support request to [email protected] (as advised by app) and it bounced...
Sigh...best car engineers in the world != best software engineers in the world

I'm thinking that the all those who report these types of app connectivity issues (to some degree) must be experiencing local provider vs Porsche server (direct) issues i.e. suspect we're slamming Porsche for the wrong reasons?

I've literally had next to no issues over 7 months with either the early Connect app nor as an early adopter of the MyPorsche app (other than growth pains) and given we are all using the same software it logically suggests an infrastructure issue vs the fault being solely at Porsche.

Stand to be corrected :), but my first port of call for those with MyPorsche app connectivity issues would be to work the local provider/infrastructure as a solution before assuming the blame lies squarely with Porsche. Now don't read this as a sort of fan boy salute to Porsche - 1st time buyer so no history there and far from it!

Time for a hard reset and disconnect the 12x battery for < 5 mins.

I had exactly the same thing, with no updates from 14th June.
It was about the time of an over the air update I think.

As W1NGE advised me (also) a few days ago. 12v battery disconnect.

Fixed it for me.

Thanks for the tips and good to know it's not just me. Car is going for a seat wiring harness recall shortly - I'll get the shop to fix it. I'm helping educate my local Porsche dealer on how to fix this for other customers :)

Might be the case if you're only having issues when car (or your phone) is always on same place. But if it's not working when you're out and about either, then more likely to be the Porker rather than the mobile provider. My guess only.

Yeah mine had worked w/o issues all over Texas over my 7 month is of ownership in entirely separate metro areas and in remote areas in between - so perhaps just lucky that T-Mobile is particularly good in this State vs again it being Porsche server specific - of course when actual server issues occur they occur - and obviously where there are actual HW failures in certain cars but still would bet in other cases that provider-infrastructure the first call.

Anyone has homelink? Do you have a remote button in the (new) Porsche app for accessing your parked car?

I use it daily with my tesla. If not I need to have a old remote again..

No but you programme the car to control the door with geo co-ords and / or manual control from the car.

That’s pretty lame from Porsche.. if your car is in the garage it is so useful to open the gate/door via the app. It can transmit so why not :(

My garage door (and linked driveway gate) opener has its own independent app that does this so not really nec to have it in the MyPorshce app - you can also cross-link this function to home network apps like HomeLink etc. - guessing many garage opener other brands do this too - is your system not WiFi connected?

I too have the reported issue – when the app had been fine up until 24 hours ago. Also web based my.porsche.com has updated/latest data for me – though with reduced functionality on the web recently.

To do a little bit of investigation into what is going on – I did a MITM attack (man-in-the-middle) on my iOS device by installing a reverse proxy with a trusted intermediate certificate.

Here are the calls the iOS app makes when you open it up as an already logged in user:

Porsche Taycan My Porsche and Connect apps IMG_2863

All the calls are successful except for the one I marked in red. Drilling down into that request/response:

This request – to the endpoint https://api.ppa.porsche.com – is refusing to CONNECT with the SSL socket quickly returning an EOF (end-of-file) marker.

I'll dig around some more later today – but this endpoint has gone rogue – and is not accepting requests. The rest of the endpoints are working as expected.
