I also did and you are right.
The spoilers will be black when you select the exterior inlays painted in black.
The US Configurator also must have changed today to match what you said above.

Not true : the UK-configurator is also still showing the coloured spoiler instead of black.
Yes true - read my post - the picture I posted from the UK Configurator is showing the spoiler in black (and even w/o the off-road pkg as shown). It is the US configurator that shows the spoiler for the identical build as body colored.

My build (w/o the Off-Road Pkg) includes the inlays (lip and skirts) in high glass black and my spoiler is still body colored in the US configurator. I have not tried to add the off-road pkg. to see if that changes it back to black - I'll do that now.

Pic of my build in the configurator as of 3PM today central time :)

UPDATE:
So to be specific you have to chose the Off Road Pkg in Hi-Gloss Black to get the spoiler to change back to black in the US Configurator - if you just chose the black inlays and not the Off Road Pkg then as I stated above the spoiler remains in body color (pic above):

Her his my build with the ORP with hi Gloss inlays - and spoiler changed back to black:

Now with all that said I am still equivocal as to whether that spoiler is really going to be body colored in my build despite my SA saying he sees it as so also!

For some reason, when you put in your build with your Porsche Code, the Spoiler doesn’t change if you check and uncheck exterior trim in high gloss black. I just did it and no change. However if you put in a new Configuration you will see the change when you add in or delete exterior trim in high gloss black. Not sure why. I’m checking with my SA to figure out what is going on but it clearly looks like the Spoiler can be black.

Totally agree and the only instance I can see happen is if I change my config to add the ORP w/Hi-Gloss black inlays - without this the spoiler is body colored.

Now interesting that you say if you start a new build on the US Config. and just adding the black inlays (I assume w/o adding the ORP) gets you a black spoiler - am I reading that correctly?

I'll give that a go - if so then the configurator would appear to be all over the place :)!

Well I went ahead and replicated my build with a new build with this code PNBWH6S3 on the US Config. and as I mentioned before, it still has the body colored spoiler - again this build does not include the ORP but that's my point. We know that adding ORP with Hi-Gloss will change the spoiler back to black on the US Config.

My experience has always been that the configurator is never 100% accurate in it's renderings. It never has been, and I suspect it never will be.

YES to your question.
Here is an update after speaking to my SA. He was not aware of the change. He said they are not notified of every Configurator change. He said I’m probably right but would have to check. It’s very strange. My color is Cherry Metallic and I’m not sure I really care but probably prefer the Black Spoiler.

Well based on my prev post #51 - I did try that and it is still showing a body colored spoiler if you do not chose the ORP so apparently No in my experience :) I posted the build code too.

And contrarily as I posted a ways back, I also had talked to my SA and he confirmed the color change.

Just as I and @Klepper say though I frankly have little faith in either the consistency of the Configurator and my SA on this - blasted configurator is still not displaying discs and brakes which it used to a week plus ago - just a mess.

Just to clarify one more time. Here is what I did:
1. I went to the Configurator for a CT4 and plugged in Cherry Metallic.
2. I optioned just exterior inlays etc in Black. The Spoiler was black. I did not plug in ORP.
3. I took off the Inlays in Black the Spoiler is Cherry.
I can’t explain anything else. It does not work if I use my existing Porsche Code only on a new Configuration. We will all find out when the Cars are delivered. I don’t think many people will cancel their cars either way.

There’s loads of bugs on the configurator at the minute! If you select the custom paint option you get to see it in what I think is British racing green!

Ah - you configured a CT4 - I have been referring to my build of a 4S - could be that their acting differently on the config. - again, who knows!

For what it is worth, here is another conflicting view from Porsche. My SA had a local specialist speak to a Taycan product manager in Germany and was told that the spoiler remains in high gloss black and the configurator is in error.

As mentioned in my prior post, time will tell. I am supposed to get delivery in January so I will let everyone know if February or March.

It would make sense (to me at least) if the standard roof had body coloured spoier and if the panoramic roof option is chosen the spoiler is gloss black.
Those are the two best looking and the inverse doesn't look too good to me.

Another "anomaly" I just noticed: If you choose the 4+1 seating and add seatbelts in contrasting color, the back center seatbelt no longer changes color. Configurator problem or Porsche not wanting to give people a "free" seatbelt?

Hoping all these changes are bugs, especially the spoiler color.
I just returned from my dealer and spoke to the salesperson. It’s likely we only get 4 colored seatbelts. The middle one in the rear has become black all time.
They just got in a new Macan, and it also had only 4 colored seatbelts…
So I think the Taycan will also get only 4 colored seatbelts…
