Sport Plus exterior electric sound

Does anyone know if the electric sound option (like when I switch to sport plus or turn it on as an option for normal) amplifies the exterior sound as well? Or is it only pumped into the interior? I swear when I have my windows down it sounds louder outside but I can’t tell if it’s an illusion from the sound coming from inside.

Isn’t that exterior speaker on all the time though for legal reasons? Or is it that the volume on the external speaker is turned up in Sport Plus mode?

The exterior speaker is always on when the electric sport sound is active. If you turn off the electric sport sound you only hear the passenger warning sound from the AVAS on the outside.

Yes, the exterior sound changes as well and it is noticeable by people who see your car. Not as loud as Dodge’s Fratzonic system, but a nice effect.
