The car does have advanced air suspension, innodrive and matrix beam!

I deliberately chose the metal roof for several reasons:

* lighter
* more damage resistant
* glass roof is way more expensive to repair/replace
* wanted more violet to look at

The ambient lighting is nice, but I would not consider it remotely essential.

I really like it, but haven’t found a cheap used car that has this option.

I was anticipating that the color would be completely user-selectable, but it isn't. There are only a handful of preset shades to choose from, and a mode where you let it randomly change around loosely based on the album cover of music or something, which is usually the setting that I leave it on.

It would be down near the bottom of features that I chose in terms of attachment. After having spent a few days in a loaner Macan, I appreciate the slip-resistant cargo hold liner in the storage package more than the ambient lighting.

Personally I prefer the sculpted ally roof anyway, it is lighter and looks a lot nicer.

I have ambient lighting, it wouldn't be a deal breaker not to have it though.

Personal preference, the ambient lighting in the Taycan is really understated compared to a lot of other cars but it adds a nice touch to the standard interior at night (invisible during daytime) . Given the low price I would always spec it when configuring from scratch, but I have to admit I have not seen a Taycan interior at night without it.
The pano roof mostly benefits the rear passengers who can look up and out (most of my passengers really like it) and not so much the driver. It has some downsides in terms of potential damage and weight, but a Taycan is a heavy car anyway. I personally feel it really enhances the looks of the car, especially in combination with a contrasting lighter exterior color like white or crayon.
I like both options, but not having the pano roof would bother me much more than missing ambient lighting.

I also deliberately did not spec the panoramic roof. I think the shape of the metal roof looks way better and I don't care about the light in the cabin. We have it on our other car and I really don't notice a difference.

Ambient light I did spec as I think it gives the cabin a nice touch but I would not consider it essential in any way and could easily live withtout it.

Sounds like a nice spec you have found there.

I like the pano roof, but I think it is nicer for the passenger in the back rather than for the driver.

Ambient light is quite disappointing, in my opinion, on the Taycan....it doesn't really make much difference like in the top BMW / Mercedes

I have pano roof and its not really worth it, in the US hot climates then it would be a positive disadvantage I believe. Driving the car you will not notice it. Mine came with it and it would be a concern after warranty expires.

Ambient lighting is neither here nor there and looks a bit cheap in my view and does little to enhance the interior and offers no practical value really.

Pan roof operated.great for passengers but rarely even notice or look up as driver.
Ambient is leagues behind mercedes, maybe the new model has improved.

The Pano roof certainly makes the car feel more unique IMO. It’s also great if you have passengers often, because it opens up the cabin. But as the replies here show, it’s completely personal preference.

Porsche/Audi ambient lighting pales in comparison to the other Germans. So it’s a nice to have but not a deal breaker.

Have both. Whish I didnt have the pano roof, and ambient light definitely not a deal breaker. Two things Id easily foresake if the deal was otherwise good
