Let me maybe add my opinion:

I saw the full leather option only and honestly - I'm not a fan of it. Especially the leather on the dashboard seemed not-that-high quality.

On the other hand - Olea is fully vegan leather, so it doesn't come from any animal as I understand...

No. Olea is not vegan at all. They do some processing of it that is different and sustainable which is why you thought it was vegan.

Correct, Olea Club Leather is tanned with an environmentally friendly process using Olive Leaves but still cow 100%. There is a race-tex option if you want leather free.

Fun fact about the race-tex option. It's the same cost as the full leather, but it's also the exact same as the standard interior except it adds a race-tex steering wheel, seat bolsters in race tex w/ I believe the sport tex centers and two strips on the door panels. Otherwise the dash/console/etc.. is all just the Standard interior.

You can get the race-tex steering wheel for $470, but unfortunately cannot individually replace the seats with race-tex. So you are forced to have a bit of leather with the Standard interior and cannot get it truly Vegan. Basically you're paying $3,660 for Race-Tex seat bolsters w/sport-tex centers.

This is also why I believe the Standard interior materials have been vastly improved over previous Porsches and are even improved over the 992.. because they are using those materials in one of their high end (and focused) interior packages.

Hey, if you're right about the Olea on the rear seats, I'm a happy camper. It just doesn't show or say it on the configurator. Certainly not the first time the config isn't accurate.

Yes, that is hereby confirmed (and you’re also right it doesn’t show in the config). So that’s a positive thing which made me happy as well :like:

Yes, I checked it out as well, and the setbacks look very sharp - stitched olea leather vs plastic. Very nice to see this for a car at this price, and better justification for the price difference vs standard leather.

Just sat in my car with the black Olea leather and it is absolutely beautiful. It's lighter than the standard leather, almost dark grey. It's softer and the setbacks are full leather with stitching - it really looks terrific and is very appropriate for a $200K+ car.

I chose the standard leather interior with a Race-tex steering wheel, as it is almost the same as the vegan interior option, but at a fraction of the price. I also believe that the standard leather option in the Taycan is a lot better than in their other models.

Anyone ever have a coating applied to the OLEA leather? Something like Optimum Opti-guard Leather?

I have the Olea two tone Basalt Black/Atacama Beige leather and just dropped it off for Gyeon treatment at GlasWerks DMV. They have another Taycan in the shop with the identical interior.
(Gyeon leather shield) a semi-permanent 18-month hydrophobic stain-resistant ceramic coating doesn’t change the texture, sheen, or feel of leather. Strongest UV blocking available.

Just did the Opti-guard Leather on my brothers Taycan yesterday. No issues at all with the OLEA.

Enjoy yours!

I've been driving my Turbo S with black Olea leather and it is the best looking leather I've seen in a car. It is very 'tight' and I think it will age very well. (I'm not a fan of 'puffy' leather). The fit and finish is remarkable, with the seats, full setback leather and dash and console absolutely immaculate. Far better than my Panamera GTS. It's probably the 'cleanest' interior of any car I've ever been in.

With the seatbacks covered in Olea leather and stitched, what are the chances you think the “seatback stitching“ wI’ll be included when I choose color stitching as an option?
