Thanks all! That was my next question…..Glass roof? Lol
It’s cool for rear seat passengers and provides them with a more open feeling cabin. If you have those frequently and/or like the look from the outside, go for it. As the driver, you’ll never take advantage of it.

5 things that seem to regularly divide opinion on here and ultimately come down to personal choice.

Sport sound
Sport chrono
Pano roof
Battery (PB/PB+)
Hi-fi (Std/Bose/Burmester)

I have both. With the sport sound, if you love exhaust noise and don't want to go completely quiet yet, id get it.

Here's a theory for you.
If the owner has it, they will most likely say "yes"
If the owner does not have it, they will most likely say "no"
This theory has been validated many times already across multiple options on this car

I have it on all the time. Also have recordings of it at home and work and listen to the sound on my headphone. That’s how much I love it.

This. There is no right or wrong answer to any of these, just personal preference. While I don’t much care for the sport sound, I’d still spec it OP because you might like it and it’s cheap. I rarely use it, but I’d still check that box just to have it on the car.

i have it and like it. Just try it out on a testdrive and decide for yourself.

Hi All,

Currently building my Taycan. Is the artificial exhaust sound worth adding?
Get a demo and try it.

I did, only put up with the sound for a minute or so then switched it off.
I didn't spec it and haven't missed it, it would be a waste for me.

One of the things I like best about an EV is how quiet it is.

OTOH, if it is your only car and you like a short thrash around from time to time it may add something you get with a sports car.
If you are only getting it for tax reasons and would really prefer a rorty IC engined car, definitely get it and leave it on!

Just to clarify, the Sport Sound survey (link posted earlier in this thread) shows, at the moment I'm typing this, that 53% of forum members who have the feature don't use it most of the time. If you then consider that 100% of the members who don't have the feature can't use it any of the time, the overall usage of Sport Sound is more clearly a minority activity.

Only if your 4ft tall 😉
also as you said provides them with a more open feeling cabin that also includes the people in the front …..

I have the sound and turn it on when parking and driving around supermarket areas to park and also other areas, so that people can hear there is a car nearby. So it’s more of a safety issue

True- but as many owners have selected those individual options for their car ("custom orders" are the norm outside of US, packs of options aren't, and I'm guessing that most members are still the original owner of their car), it's quite likely that they took those options because they like them.

I didn't even notice the Taycan I drove on demo had a glass roof until I got out. I am 6' tall and got back in and had to turn and look back and up to see through it, I was certainly unaware of it in the front seat driving or passenger.

I didn't bother with it. I actually disliked the glass roof in a previous car anyway so given I much preferred the look of the sculpted ally roof and it is lighter it was an easy economy for me.

Cant comment on standard pano ….but the variable light roof starts 300mm from where windscreen ends at 6ft you don’t even have to tilt head hardly …you can look up and see out
