a stolen car is pretty much impossible to use these days, let alone sell. An electric one is even harder I’d imagine

If the car was fitted with PVTS+ and the fob not left in the car then that may have led to the car becoming immobile. I'm not 100% certain of this but I've had instances when moving the car without the fob (by mistake) out of a garage where the car complains and the dreaded red power failure park immediately appeared. Disappeared once I'd retrieved the fob.

Additionally, restrictions on speed, geofencing and of course car finder would help assuming My Porsche App could connect.

This article seems to suggest that EV charging depots don't have security cameras. Strange - gas stations have them.

most ev chargers are in remote areas of parking lots and many do not have cameras. that said many EA chargers are in wal mart lots and those usually have camera coverage.

Yes you can. They wiill find the car as long as it is not put in a prepared container or using other jammers

EDIT: Looking around I’m guessing they didn’t want the headline “Car Jacking in broad daylight at the Devonshire Mall”! More likely that she was there than emergency charging at Chevrolet Cadillac.

That’s a really shitty thing in broad daylight. I actually had someone try and get into my car at the Hamilton Electrify Canada while I was charging.

I guess it’s worth locking your doors while charging!
