According to the VW export schedule yours should be getting on the Mediterranean Highway, which is running a few days behind schedule. It is currently en route to Bremerhaven from your home town, and due in on August 11. If it stays on that schedule it should be to Emden very shortly after that.
Where do you get this VW export schedule from? Is this public record?

Does anyone here know the actual dates of the factory shutdown this month?

The VW report says the Siem Aristotle is getting to Halifax yesterday. I found something online that it’s more than likely getting there 8/7.

From the PWL Group at https://www.pwl.de/en. Scroll down to the shipping portal, choose the trade route and then the carrier (VW) and it will download. They have not been very good at keeping it up to date recently, but what is posted now is current. The dates are approximate - you can find more accurate information on each ship at sites like Marine Traffic, Fleetmon, etc.

Great stuff, thanks! Wish I had known yesterday, I drive over the bridge that overlooks the port every morning... would have been kind of cool to see it.

Someone mentioned in another thread august 23. The main issue now is the chip shortage I believe. I assume yours is stuck in production

My Turbo was delayed a fraction for entry into production 20th July too … now it’s delayed a further 8-9 weeks and Altho semi conductor is the worldwide high profile issue I’m hearing a rumour it’s the air suspension factory in Germany thay operates a “just in time” supply to Zuff & was flooded in late July bad weather! Hopefully these are cautious forecasted dates & our cars are somewhere close to being included in builds as non air suspension cars are proceeding to be built!

I was wondering why the CT’s are mainly the ones getting delayed. That seems like a possible problem

weird that mine would have started And finished production last week. Mine is a 4sCT. Maybe something different with the turbo?

Thanks! We saw it on Monday and it looks great. Can’t wait to get it out on the road. Hope yours is on the way soon.
Congrats. Sure you are excited. I know the dealer can get it PPF for me, but I have a company that my brother used for his Boxster and trying to decide, take delivery and chance some driving with out the PPF to use my guy or just have it done by the dealer.

That being said, did you have to go complete the "purchase" before they would send it out for PPF and that is how you saw it?

No, we went and saw it before it had been through dealer prep. And the PPF installers who do cars for the dealership have an excellent reputation and do great work - I've had several done by them. So the dealer just adds it to the purchase agreement and I pay for it all together and it's done when I take it home. Then I use a local guy to do the ceramic.

For anyone on the Aristotle it looks to be about 625 nautical miles out of Halifax running at 16 knots. So around 39 hours. Very early Saturday morning possibly.
