Not sure but probably 2022. Ordered July 2021, completed August 2022 but then kept in storage due to lack of 12V batteries and received on 1 December 2022 by which time quite a few 2023 MY cars had been delivered since they re-started production once 12V battery deliveries were available and seemingly didn't start fitting the stored cars with batteries until production was back under way. August is close to the MY changeover I believe.

I only use my phone to take calls when out and somebody who uses it more than I may well get problems I don't.

I do sometimes have Apple maps or Waze displaying on my phone whilst actually using the on board satnav and haven't noticed drop outs apart from the usual.
So bizarre. Mine is a 71. voice calls are marginal. Teams or whatsapp calls are useless even on the charger due to continual drop outs.

Not helped by last gov removing 3G ofc so 4G or E (which is pointless).

I did. And when on PDLS auto high it will be blue with an A. Not just blue.

That is partially high beam (brights) and in my experience annoys a lot of people particularly in taller vehicles resulting in oncoming cars flashing you despite the car being in adative mode.

That was what the questioner was asking. Not just leaving it manual high beam that annoys people, auto high beam does too because the blanking isn't perfect.

🤷‍♂️
Not sure if you have matrix lights but these offer much more functionality and are excellent in my opinion and better again with the HD version.

Of course there will be an A displayed when high beam is on - goes without saying really - and will simply change colour green to blue.

The lights potentially need to be auto recalibrated which is achieved against a flat wall at a given distance.

The trick is to wash the car on an incline such that the water at the rear can run off.
So ideal washing scenario is using a tow hook to hang the Taycan from a crane. Added benefit, it spins around so you can wash the underbody too.

Wishful thinking - but wouldn't it be great if Porsche monitored this forum, replied and thanked everyone for the 50+ development ideas.
It's too late to do much with j1.1 and 1.2, but they could tell us they'll be looking to add many of the suggestions to the J2 version.
And maybe tell us they'd spend a few quid on the app and software that is within their control and give it a polish.
That would probably be enough for me to get another.

It's truly bizarre. Phone is fine with window open whether on charger or carplay. Close window no reception.

It's slightly better when on charger with the window closed but of course you can't watch anything then.

It seems to be year dependent. What year are you?
Could be just your provider and what bandwidth they use. Or your phone.

It's poor when wireless charging (cooking) and non-existent if in your hand eg youtube while charging the car since PCM can't display it.

Fine with window open. 🤷‍♂️
I wouldn’t even call it a charger. It just super heats the phone and doesn’t let it die.

I looked at my phone before I got into my car at the end of my dog walk 3 bars of 4g. Got in car shut door waited a bit - no change.
I had intended to look when I got home but forgot - phone function in my car is of vanishingly small consequence and so wasn't paying enough attention, sorry.
We only get a 1 bar signal in the house but I just checked (what I do for science) in the car 3 bars of 5g whether door shut or open.

Tend to do a lot of calls and meetings in EST in the UK evening commute.

Mine (iphone 13 pro max) seems to lose 2-3 bars unless hung out the window.

Most odd. Thanks for checking.

Yep have the full function lights. They are absolutely epic but occasionally sone folks are oversensitive when it's on auto high beam blanking out particular regions. It really is a superbly effective feature.

Were you not aware that you could test drive the car before you bought it? It certainly seems you would’ve been happier with some sort of Kia and we would have been happier not hearing your whiny complaints on the Taycan Forum.
There is always that one troll! to be honest Dr Debt, I would have been happier not hearing your whiny complaint. The OP has some genuine issues, in future, scroll, don't troll

Whilst I absolutely love owning my Taycan and cannot think of an EV I would prefer, there are some absolutely shockingly bad annoyances, some of which I believe are still present in facelift.

Charging
- The app and in-car interface is the worst I have seen in any brand. This problem has been solved many times over in super simple ways eg Tesla, Kia etc yet the Porsche software engineers decided to invent an obscure enigma interface that often lets me down.
- Poor tolerance to imperfections, often if something happens to power supply or charger the car refuses to recover and resume charging, whereas my wife’s Tesla just tries again periodically and resumes if supply is good.
- I have had one charging door failure already (replaced under warranty) but it seems like something that will probably fail again and there are 2 on the car.

Interior
- The phone charger - worst in any car I have owned or used, what were the designers thinking?
- The passenger screen is super underpowered, often becomes unresponsive and is pretty useless except for allowing passengers to change songs in a poor interface ( no CarPlay on passenger screen)
- Arm rest is designed for contortionists.
- Back seat design seems to make very little use of the very wide frame of the car.
- PCM is awkward, changing a radio station when using car play and switching between two is a daily PITA.

Exterior
- Cameras are positioned poorly and the view from them is what I imagine a fish with a swollen eye sees.
- The washer for reverse camera in mine washes some random part of the car (needs fixing but I see a lot of people with same problem)

Other
- OTA updates seem to be a fabled feature at least compared to brands like Tesla where the updates are frequent and useful

Despite all these genuine annoyances I do love the car, it drives like nothing else I have tried and it looks amazing.

Anyone else agree/disagree with these?
You bought a Porsche!

Anyway, let s say that again, whoever designed the arm rest deserves a prize… every time I open it I wonder how on earth that thing got approval to be produced like that!!

Is it the same on the J1.2?

Which cruise option where you using?

I don't use ACC / Innodrive (random mapping issues)

I don't use speed limit governed control (random mapping and poor signage).

Old fashioned one for me and not had a similar experience.

Could be related but seems unlikely and mapping updates which could interfere should be installable only when the car is stationary or none of the mapping dependent systems active.
It was not Innodrive, but ACC.
