Also, any tips on how to remove the toe hook cover would be great.

gently prying the cover (maybe use a plastic knife?), will pop it..BUT, frankly, I gave up on tow hook plate because the sensors kept activating..too much of a pain...

No..I gave up fighting it (got a ticket too!), so screwed it in nicely (two screws)..I know that is heresy but....got used to it!

I have a tow hook plate from rho plate that works pretty well. Did take some time to figure out the best positioning without triggering the sensors. For me it was placing the plate towards bottom right corner (when facing front of car). Good luck!

I use stonsho when I brought it to the courthouse to get the ticket dismissed, then removed it once I got home.

I live in California and don’t use a front license plate yet. If I get a ticket then I will buy the California DMV legal License Plate Wrap.

I actually initially misread it as tow hook in my mind... but then I went to imagining Taycans with trailers behind them.

Anyway... I googled it now... American-only stuff.
