Volume control not working or shows -1

Anyone had any experience of their car volume control failing to work or indeed show -1.

It seems to correct itself after a while but can’t figure out what’s causing it.

It happened to me last week. I turned the car off locked it manually with the key fob came back in 15 minutes it was resolved or reset.
I believe two other people had the same thing occur on the same day I did last week.
Has not occurred again.

Yes, I have had that happen too. Goes away after a restart. Interestingly though, the volume was fully controllable via the steering wheel knob.

I was not able to control volume with the volume wheel on the steering wheel or the center consul. Nothing would move it from -1.
Being a computer the reset seemed to work well. Learned it from other people on the forum. Thank you.

I have also experienced this issue. It seemed to happen when I paired my girlfriend's phone to listen to some of her music, and then we exited the car with it still using her phone as the source. When we returned to the car, it "forgot" her phone as the source and I couldn't increase the volume on the radio until a full restart. I've been careful to switch the audio back to a different source before leaving the vehicle just to avoid that experience.

Mine is from setup and after into system, tomorrow i will check if it’s true...
From ... into info i have other info but i don’t think this is pcm software version

This has now happened to me on two occasions, the second time being yesterday. Quite annoying. The first time I drove home without radio or phone and let the car sit for an hour or so and then things seemed fine.

Yesterday, I pulled the car over, turned it off, stepped outside, locked it, unlocked it, got back in and it was still stuck in the "-1" state with no radio, phone, or voice on nav. I left the car alone overnight and it worked fine this morning.

Is there a way to specifically "reset" the computer while driving or when I pull over?

Yep, hold two fingers for a few seconds top right of the upper middle PCM screen (basically where the home icon is). That'll take you to a menu - select reboot. Voila, about 3 days later it boots up again (okay, it felt like 3 days).

My volume control was not working this morning but my experience was different than what is described in previous posts
- Both the screen buttons and steering wheel control were not responding
- after clicking dozens of times I was able to increase the volume by +1 and by keep spinning the steering wheel control I was able to increase by another +1.

Problem was fixed by restarting the car.

This is the first car I ever had that I was not able to control the volume... Thanks Porsche for the new experience!

I've had this issue a few times. It's pretty annoying. I have a hunch it happens when the map is being updated as an update confirmation usually seems to happen shortly after it resolves.
