Not really, another member of this forum who ordered at the same time as me is already driving round in his.
I probably chose a dealer who has a bad ratio of customer to allocation or maybe prioritised its favoured customers rather than strictly placing builds in order of date placed.
Anyway, a bit stuck now. If I do get a car it will be end of 2022 build, if it slips much more I will be in the annual price hike which will be big this year I would imagine.
Definitely the dealer allocation lottery. Mine said 9-12 months (quite honestly I thought) for a 4S ordered in September. Know said before but it seems my flipping to a Turbo got me an unexpectely early build slot (but still more than any likely price rise…?). Shame they can’t find a bloody boat though..

Sold ours today back to the dealer from whom we purchased them.

We put them out for bids to all the usual suspects and OPC's were bidding far higher than the independant specialists.

Also when you sell you actually get to see the real picture with many of the cars being advertised for "overs" being SOR rather than actual stock.

Bottom line is we got list price + 1% for the combined value of both vehicles (a saloon 4S and a CT4S) which given the saloon was 5 months old we were pretty happy with.

In reality the Saloon was -£9K and the CT was +£11.5 on list price.

It's a shame it didn't work out for us but we got out pretty much scott free which actually feels like a result.

when i bought my car i figured I lost 10% the moment I stepped inside, and another when i signed the papers and drove it off the lot. Happy to see you guys think these things can be a investment.

I have a 4s cross turismo picked up last week from Sheffield ( horrific experience) and a turbo build slot in July , 4s spec listed £107. And paid £113, I’ve already been told that I will still get more than what I paid for when I chop it in for my new one come September-October , seems the turismo is better than money on the bank and prices are only going 1 way

That is how the real world works. It is something that annoys me a bit in the back of my head, on the other side I'm driving a spectacular car and enjoying life. Can't put a price tag on that :D

Every new car I own, I assume 50% drop over 3 years and average mileage.

Some cars have done better, some worse.

I also expect the Taycan to do very well.

But in the meantime, the kicker is, it costs buttons to run and I get to drive round in such a fantastic machine.

It feels like I am defying the laws of physics and have learnt how to fly and drink beer at the same time

So if the car is financed you can return the car during the cooling-off period after delivery - normally 14 days but there will be restrictions i.e. mileage covered etc. I could have done with my F Type but the car could not cover more than 1000 miles.

Reigniting this thread, as it looks like Used Taycan prices have somewhat crashed! Ive heard of people getting offered 59-low 60s for MY21 cross turismo models.
Have had mine since September 22, and though of maybe changing it up a bit and moving back to ICE. Guess ill be keeping it for the rest if my term (36m pcp)anyone on here chop theres in recently ?

Its not a Taycan thing - it's an EV thing (at least in the UK).
That was after the opposite happened last year.

In fact the Taycan doesnt feature in the top 10 biggest fallers (all EVs) - although 'this is money' and their readers seem to have a keen and ongoing dislike of EVș.
