Why no remote locking on MY 2020?

Nope--same issue. I get the status box (your first image) but canot get the Unlock & lock box....clearly not available on MY 202--which, again, was my original question- I'd like ot better understand why this hasn't been/could not be updated via one of the many software updates.

Check with dealer service. Maybe the relevant hardware in car was changed after 2020 MY (if other MY 2020 owners report the same issue.)

I read in the Porsche Connect manual that lock/unlock feature from the app requires a security to be set. It a matter of fact the app prompts for the PIN code when tapping the unlock button.
Just wondering if the feature is disabled in the app if no security code is set.

I have never seen that before How did you to the place where you set the Security. I am a pretty thorough reader, particularly when setting up my cars, but have not seen that. Wonder if this is a non-US thing?

I didn't read the other linked threads so apologies if a redundant question but any chance it might be related to Comfort Access i.e. if not spec'd does that rule out remote access? If you have this then redundant again!

I have never seen that before How did you to the place where you set the Security. I am a pretty thorough reader, particularly when setting up my cars, but have not seen that. Wonder if this is a non-US thing?

Not a dumb question at all, but it is not in private mode...all intel thus far suggests that it is not a feature available on MY2020

When I first got my car in May 2020, the feature was missing. The salesman had shown this on other non Taycans and explained what it could do. When I got my car and complained about it, I was directed to Porsche Smartmobility from the app.

They investigated and said to me then that my car did not have the necessary hardware to implement the feature. So I have never had this in my car. ( don’t miss it much either to be honest).

I had therefor concluded that no MY20 had this feature and left it be.

Is there anybody on here that still has a MY20 early model and has this feature implemented?

what year is you Taycan I also have a 2020 with no lock and unlock option on the app

Mine is a 2022. This appears to be an issue with 2020 Taycans :-(

I am sure this is covered elsewhere but I couldn't find the exact answer that I was looking for, so apologies if this is a duplicate.

I understand that we DO NOT have remote locking/unlocking with My Porsche Connect but what I don't know is WHY NOT? Seems like an incredibly easy thing for Porsche to do. I have this in other cars but not my Taycan.

What am I missing?

Probably technical reasons, some bridging/relaying between buses missing, or perhaps no secure way for PCM to access the body controller in charge of locking/unlocking - a secure way may require factory provisioning not feasibly done by dealers after the fact. It might be that retrofitting a BCM would fix the issue, but Porsche decided not enough people would pay for it, and it might unnecessarily highlight the missing feature to owners who never had it and never even knew they could have.
