I didnt even think to change the window trim in the configurator to black but it looks like most cars have black trim. I am now torn as to whether to wrap them in gloss vinyl. Thoughts please

100% for black - will pop with your light paint and you have other details to match (wheels, electric charging covers…)
Just looks sportier while silver is a bit more traditional on darker shades

Very much down to personal preference. I like contrasting detail, so in general dark trim for lighter body colours. However, as you already have the contrast of light and dark on your wheels and skirts, I don't think your silver window trims look wrong. I'd probably have specced the black window trims, but if I were to choose an already built vehicle I think I'd happily live with them silver if it had your wheel and skirt choices.

Any comments on vinyl wrap! Would that look okay?

Vinyl wrap or black PPF will look fine. Just don't plasti-dip the trim.

I agonized over this. I think black with light colors and chrome with dark. The chrome is a more classic look, but in both cases the contrast highlights the lines of the car. Plus, I didn't want my gentian 4S to look like a Tesla Model s :)

Ha. I also pointless agonized over this for weeks. And decided to stick with silver trim.

It now looks exactly like my blue Model X. :)

But the trim is matte black, right? I think glossy would have went well with the glossy black parts in the rear hatch spoiler.

Seems like for the CT. the default exterior blacks mixed.

Glossy on the hatch/spoiiler.
Matt on the window trim, fender arches. Or versuvis grey if you option that. Then if you get power charge cover, that black bits are glossy?

I would like them to be all one shade and stick to it.

The black window trim is gloss on the Turbo S and as a cost option on any Taycan. I think it's only matt as standard equipment on RWD and maybe CT4?
But yes the CT wheel arch trims are matt on all but the Turbo S. I'd originally planned to get mine replaced with gloss black as I was particularly worried about the mismatch with my optioned gloss black handles...but having now seen a real-life example of that combo (with matt arches) I think it works ok, certainly well enough to wait till I've had mine a while to confirm that.
(And of course there's the matt black plastic door mirror parts on all but Turbo S to consider upgrading to painted gloss black).

The CT 4 was non gloss black and 4s silver as standard.

Bought my car off the lot with silver trim. Had it wrapped gloss black when I had PPF done. Black looks much better IMO.
