Well, got the car back a few months ago after having new heater installed. Had a trip to the River Dee for three days salmon fishing. Thought id give the car a good run. Got there fine, raising the suspension meant i could get to the river no problem at all. Last day, the saturday, got into my car...... wouldn't start. 70% charge ..... 13.4V on the 12v battery. Porsche assist suggested the locking and walk away.... nothing. AA arrived and did a 12V reset ..... nothing. Porsche said it would need recovering and i could have a hire car as had 300 mile trip home. Whilst waiting around i reset the PCM ..... Nothing. Then reset the PCM and locked the car whilst rebooting. Now ...... mangaed to get the PCM to light up! Great i thought ..... but no. Error message saying brake travel not detected.... reset. It wouldn't, so i am assuming a sensor has failed and the not starting issue is linked to not detecting the brake pedal being pressed? Anyway, had to get a taxi to Aberdeen Airport to get a hire car and eventually home at 10pm. No idea where my car is now as left it at B and B! A great drive home in a brand new Merc...... without any need to stop and recharge .......................................................................................

You’ll probably need the E box replaced. Happened to me and others.

Not as yet no. I have been contacted by Porsche Aberdeen to say they have recovered the car to their facility, but nothing further. I will update as and when I have any news

This is exactly my issue that occurred on 23rd April, a few days after I'd lost all external communication (LTE crossed arrow symbol on PCM).
Car was parked tight to garage, took 3 days to get hi-ab to lift it out and now at Porsche Bristol.
Oddly an hour ago I received a Vodafone theft detection - so suggests the car is communicating again...
My theory is something to do with an update / server issue earlier the week mine lost communication...

Likewise. I lost the LTE around 4 days earlier and rang my dealer as I was heading off on a trip to Scotland a few days later. Is it safe to use i asked? But sir..... Of course it is!!

Just had a call from Porsche Aberdeen and a HV Charger is on order. They aren't sure when it will arrive. I will keep you posted

Either we don't understand anything about the car's technology or the Taycan is coded in mysterious ways.

How can one correlate "brake travel not detected" with a failure of the HV charger?

Probably means we should all tremble if we get "washer fluid low" as it could mean HV battery failure ?

Irony off.

I am hoping loss of LTE connectivity is just a coincidence as I lost mine on 24th April for 6 days!

Let's hope for coincidence. The PCM should be a completely separate unit. It should, for example, be able to crash entirely and unrecoverably, and the car would still drive. Other than maaaaybe some interaction with the car's locking system (e.g. theft protection)...

So the "brake travel not detected" wasn't a HV charger failure?

They rang me this morning and asked for any info i had regarding the car just prior to it not starting. I explained the loss of LTE several days before and also reminded them of the brake travel message
I'm surprised really that there isn't a diagnostic check that tells them what the issue is?
