I was thinking about posting a "Just wow!" thread along similar lines.

I did a 400 mile round trip in mine at the weekend. On the return leg it was dark and wet...but the car was supreme.

Trip started off on A-roads (dual carriageway, fast UK roads). Easy. Quiet. Quick.

The last hour is twisty B-roads. Standing water everywhere, wildlife, narrow and rough roads. And the car was sublime. Smooth, fast, composed, confidence inspiring.

Just awesome.

Mine doesn't get washed often. It's used pretty much every day. I cannot think of any car that is as good as this, not even close, for the usage I need from mine. It took 11yrs to find a suitable replacement for my old Audi RS4. I have a feeling it could take as long to replace this.

A couple times I've gotten comments about how it's great that I drive this car everyday. The thing is...I don't have another car 🤣.

We did a 600 mile round trip at the weekend, all sorts of roads, cold and very wet in the far north of England. The constant was how good the Taycan was no matter what. We all know efficiency and range aren’t top of the class, but charging was short lived and/or convenient. Wouldn’t want to be in another car for a trip like that.

Only glitch was jumping in for the last leg drive home to find a front tyre was flat. The inflator and repair liquid worked though and the tyre is still fully inflated this morning. Off to the tyre shop later hoping it can be repaired.

To avoid the infamous European nav crashing issues we have, used CarPlay/ABRP and Porsche nav when battery pre heat was needed.

Pic after my monthly wash. 4 years/37K miles on this 22 and although she hasn't been perfect, I accept the imperfections because she's actually been pretty great to me.

LIkewise, my 2021 Taycan 4S with performance battery is just coming up to 40,000 Kms and is my daily driver. Apart from both driver and passenger front electric windows failing and being replaced under the extended warranty the car is faultless. We have travelled all over Ireland and the UK on extended trips and have never had a problem. Although the car does not charge as fast as the second generation and the battery is smaller I have never found that to be a problem. Range has never been an issue and battery capacity seems to be as good as it was when new and regulary indicates circa 380Km in winter and 460km in summer.

A great car that I enjoy driving every day and wont be parting with it anytime soon.

lol same for me it's my only car !
I again had today a bunch of school kids + teachers telling me "sir your car is beautiful", twice in the same afternoon, must have been like a few tens of times since 1 month I'm driving it, funny how it actually opens up discussion with people instead of setting you "appart" :)
I never got that with my Xpeng G9 even if it's a very good car (a few people saying it's "nice" from time to time that's it)

I'm assuming that's a matte wrap? Is it also 4 years old? any regrets? I think it looks great - just never talked to anyone who's had it longer than a year

Yes matte wrap. Yes it will be 4 years next month. No regrets, BUT I tell people that my electric Porsche is like sky diving for me. I did it once (solo at that!) and enjoyed it....but I'm never doing it again. I'm mid 40s now, a relatively well off business owner, and wanted to try a 6 figure fancy car once. I'm not surprised that you haven't talked to anyone who has owned it longer than a year as there's a significant proportion of Porsche owners who swap cars about as often as I buy new running shoes. It's a lifestyle choice for that subset of people and I get it, but not my style. I tend to own cars for 10 years/100K miles (whichever comes first). Not sure what my next car will be (my last was a golf GTI which I LOVED) but for sure it will be something more modest.

lol - was talking about the wrap lasting 4 years. I'm right there with you with the Taycan though. mine's 4.5 years

My living situation has changed and i am now in a condo, charger-less and I may take a muddier new job soon necessitating an SUV. not sure where i thought I'd be 4.5 years from when i bought it, but not in a condo and not in an SUV-job situation.

My wife's itching to get a new car and i may take her Audi SUV and trade in the Taycan (sad face here) to get her car

It's been great (although aggravating) and fun to the extreme. I don't regret getting it. For a while i was looking at the electric Lotus options - but the no charger has killed all those. Catching myself on INEOS Grenadier boards these days...

if I may, check out the Mercedes GLC hybrid MY23-25 : I've test drived it several times, you absolutely need one with the "Technical Pack" option (air suspension + rear wheels steering), it's behaviour is insanely good for an SUV, and when you set it to "offroad" it's almost an even better ride feeling - I tried that in the forest in various conditions, it's impressive.
I don't regret buying my Taycan Turbo (well equipped used GLCs I found were same price or higher), but if I hadn't this would have been my only choice.
the Q6 e-tron is also "good" but doesn't drive as well (rougher ride), the Q8 e-tron is a disaster (way behind the Q6), the Macan EV is a disaster too (bumpy as hell).
I also tried the Lotus Elettre, it's as good as the Q6, but 180K€+ for the same level of options vs 125K€ for the Q6, 115K€ for the GLC - I do like the Elettre's look, but I'd still take the GLC.
All of this pending the new GLC 100% EV being released next month : full-optioned it's ~98K€, so if it's riding as good as the GLC hybrid, for less money & with the autonomy announced (670km / 489ch) it could be a very good candidate, although the current version doesn't look great, I'll wait the "coupé" version that will hopefully come out soon.
