I have a question about the basics of GTS Black Brushed Aluminum

Does anyone know what the "Interior trim in black brushed aluminum" option in the GTS standard configuration is? It is expected to be located above and below the door lever and on either side of the center console, but I would like to know the exact configuration. To put the free aluminum rhombus package on the Bordeaux red seat and the neodyme, the color combination seems excessive, but it is a waste to not include the free option. If black aluminum goes into that location as a standard, there seems to be no need for a rhombus package. Does anyone know about that? Or, if you have a photo, please upload it.

Seems like it's similar coverage to the aluminum rhombus, but it's black brushed aluminum. Appears to be a GTS exclusive. You can see it in stock pics of the GTS on the door panel, at least for cars with the GTS racetex interior. I know with leather interior in other cars, these door pieces are actually in leather, so don't know if you get bordeaux if they'll end up changing to leather or stay black brushed aluminum.

It will simply replace black aluminium with silver - doesn't look great. Free as it is a direct substitute.

Door tread inserts are black (silver by default in non GTS / Turbo S models) as is the rear loading lip in the boot.

Check with your dealer.

It is standard spec and not an option. Check the standard spec at the bottom of the configurator page.

Are you talking about the silver luggage lip? I don't see mention on the luggage lip in the standard configuration section. Just door sills and interior trim as black.

More detail on UK configurator - verify with your dealer but it should be the same.

The boot lip protection is steel, I assume aluminium of any colour is not sufficiently rugged to withstand rough loading/unloading.

Thanks. I took dealer stock so I did not configure, just reporting what my GTS has in the boot which is steel and not painted black as @WuffvonTrips reported above. Maybe a different spec in the UK vs US.

I still have the blue protective film on my 4S boot!

I think the black aluminum interior trim gets replaced with leather if you pick any full leather or Olea interior option. I saw a GTS sedan at my dealer the other day, and it did not have the black aluminum interior trim in conjunction with black full leather interior.

My guess is black aluminum interior trim only stays if you get the standard Race-Tex interior. GTS interior package gets carbon fiber.

The disappearance of black aluminum is hopeless. Silver aluminum doesn't seem to go well with Bordeaux red seats and neodyme, but instead of leather, I think I should choose carbon to give it a point. Personally, I like black aluminum better than carbon, so it's very disappointing. thank you for checking

Hmm, i still have the remnants of the blue film sticking out where the metal meets the rubber that got torn off badly. Can't get at it to remove...
