Hello, everyone.
Since the 1st of july, my car stopped getting synced to the server, meaning I can’t use the app, neither My Porsche nor Porsche Connect(the older app).

What I have tried to fix the problem:
1)Putting the car into privacy mode and locking it for several hours to then login back to my account in the car.
2)Turning on the ‘Guest’ account, locking the car, waiting for some minutes and then logging back to my account. - what we were advised to do when the Porsche servers were updated some months ago.
3)Logging off my account and relogging back in the app.
4)Deleting the app and reinstalling it.

Could you guys, residing in Europe like me(I live in Greece) confirm the same problems in these last days?

Also how can I exclude the possible problem of my LTE module(which some people have reported in the past) and be sure that it’s something on the server side?

I have never had any LTE replacements, or any other faults with my car, since the day I bought the car in 2020.

UPDATE: I just got this response from Porsche Support

Porsche Taycan [SOLVED 09.07.2022, Europe] Porsche Connect Network Problems [3rd UPDATE!] 1C971102-44E0-4432-ABBB-5E4A64DCFFF9

UPDATE - 2:
Today, I tried the 12v Battery disconnection fix and after getting the car turned back on, I still couldn’t get the car to log into my account.
But lo and behold, after approximately 1.5-2 hours I tried to log back in one last time and fortunately this time it worked.
I got into the account and the ‘My Porsche’, now finally is in sync with my car.
Everything is working.

So, here are my 2 cents, that I hope can help yoy guys. My whole story of this event:
1) On the 1st of July, ‘My Porsche’ app stopped synchronizing to my car. I couldn’t neither see it’s status or location, nor were any of the functions working via the app.
2)I tried the ‘PCM engineering reset’ function in the car - didn’t help at all
Link:
3)I tried both ways of logging out of my account in the car. Both ‘deregister account’ and ‘delete account’. None seemed to work and it only made the problem worse, because the ‘delete account’ option made me unable to log back into it for days. So, by that time I had non-working app and a car that I was only able to drive in ‘Guest’ mode ?.
4)After more than a week of trying to solve this problem, I tried today the ‘12v battery reset fix’
Link: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/how-to-disconnect-12v-battery.11322/
At first it didn’t seem to work, because right after I reset the battery, I tried to log into my account again and failed to do so. But after some hours, finally the problem was solved.
What I think could have happened:
a)The 12v battery reset worked and fixed all the problems

b) The 12v battery reset did not work and it was just a coincidence that I could log back into my account. Meaning coincidentally their server-side problem got fixed today and it just so happened to be some time after my battery reset

c)The problem was solved server-side at some point in time(any of these past days), but until I reset the battery manually, my LTE connection with the server was not able to fix itself.

I think the most reasonable answer would be the c) option. I think even without resetting the 12v battery, in some days after the server fix, it would have solved itself.
But, it’s also very possible that resetting the 12v battery accelerated this whole ordeal.
It’s just very hard to believe that it was a coincidence. The timing was very close.

I hope that you all get your cars fixed soon! Good luck and have fun riding.

Update - 3:
It seems that the few people that still had problems with their car not being able to connect to the server and app, got everything resolved after the latest WNJ8 car campaign.
I hope all of you get it fixed after the update guys, thanks and have good luck on the roads ‘Taycaners’!!!

I’ve got the same issue too here in Australia. I have not been able to connect now since the 27th of June

Have you tried the 12 volt battery disconnect trick. That is described in the Forum here if you use the Search function. That has helped me at several occassions, mostly when roaming between countries. It seems to establish a fresh connection on LTE

I have not had any problems with the apps now. I have had quite stable connections since at least mid June. It might take some time to connect, because of poor network coverage, but it will connect.

Hi,
I had problems as well on July 1st while traveling. The car thought that I was still home and at 100%, no more Apple Music… but yesterday I parked the car outside of the garage, did the 2 fingers trick to restart the PCM and I refreshed the app and now it’s back to normal.
They have to solve those issues because when you are traveling and the radio, internet radio and Apple Music are not working anymore, it’s hard to drive during the night without any music and fiddling with the PCM and the phone while driving

I have never tried that fix, could you elaborate please? I would like to know that for possible problems in the future. Thanks

A fellow european owner of Taycan, just told me that he too has this problem now. In the end, fortunately it’s server-side.
Although just in case, how exactly do I do the PCM 2 finger restart you mentioned? Thanks

I have the same problem since 1st July, maybe coincidentally after the installation of ONA7.
Two finger reboot doesn’t work.
Pulling the 12v battery doesn’t work.
Deleting app and reinstalling doesn’t work.
Removing account from car doesn’t work, and now I can only log in as Guest.

No connectivity means no tracker, among other things, so if your insurance is dependent on the tracker then no insurance.

The Connect support have been no help, and the dealer has not been able to help.
Let’s hope it is server side and solvable soon.

How can I check if my car did the ONA7 update by itself? I have the updates on auto, so I don’t know if you are on track to the truth or not.

You have to activate the update manually after a prompt appears on the PCM. So I don’t think that it does it in the background. It tells you it’s updating and the car can’t be driven until it’s done. There is no visible record of the updates applied. Apparently we aren’t trusted with that info.
It may be coincidence but my car hasn’t updated since the exact time I applied it. Perhaps the car auto logs off to apply the update and then can’t log back in. Perhaps If you personally have logged off, maybe to use a secondary user, or a guest and then tried to log back in. That might have set it off. My car was in to have the front seat recall and the isofix checked so maybe the garage logged out or put it in privacy mode.
It’s odd that several people have this issue. My car is Feb 2021 build, it would be interesting to know what MY other cars are.

I tried the 2-fingers reset. Update didn’t appear. I guess ut’s still early for my region :/
This also excludes the possibility of ONA7 being the reason for that problem. I guess, it’s just their server being updated or maintenance ongoing.
It’s amazingly idiotic and funny, that Taycan owners have to find solutions ad explanations for different kinds of bugs, instead of there being a website that would be maintained by Porsche themselves and keep us updated.

I did the 12v reconnect last week after problems post getting the update.

Although I got the connection back after the reset, this week the app connection between the car and Porsche servers has been patchy at best.
Lots of times it doesn't connect on the app - but all is working fine in the car.

Just spoken to Connect support in the UK who tell me that there are “quite a few” people reporting similar problems to ours.
The Porsche techs in Germany are aware of it and looking to find a solution but they don’t know when that will be.
In the meantime they are paying for a secondary tracker to be fitted to my car so it’s insured ( my insurance requires a working tracker… I think I’m going to change that next year?) and so I can drive it. I can then have it removed if I want once the PCM becomes active again.

This happens in my Cayenne E Hybrid fairly often, which means I lose the ability to pre-condition and set charging times. Most of the time, the simplest fix is to sync your MyPorsche App while sitting in your running car. That fixes my lack of connection issues 90% of the time, the other times the Porsche Server is having issues.

I tried this fix many times before making this thread, unfortunately it doesn’t help. It’s not that the connection is ‘bad’. It’s the fact that it is non-existent. Which has only happened once in my 2 years of owning the car, the reason at that time was on server-side. And according to many reports from our fellow Taycan owners, it’s the same now. They have network problems that are going to be fixed very soon.
By the way, those problems that you mentioned, have never happened to my Taycan in the span of 2 years. The connection was always stable and working, fortunately for me.
Thanks for your input nonetheless! ?

My last sync was 29 June. I have never had a connection issue before. Both apps work fine with our Macan. Have deleted the account from the car and cannot reload it. Now the subject of a ’ticket’ with the German technicians. Other LTE functions ie Google mapping Imagery works fine.
