thanks
i see they now do a tethered option…can’t decide which is best ….are you using them to install it ?
No. I don't think they install, like Andersen did. They just recommend people. However, I found an installer near my mum's house via a Google search, and they have 4.8 out of 5 on their rating system, so I'm expecting good service from them.

I went for untethered, but that's because this one will only be used when I'm visiting for roughly one week per month. In that case I will just store the cable in the garage and only get it out when I need to charge. Most of the time it won't be in use, in which case it's better to not have the cable on show.

One final thing. The customer service informed me the data is synced via Bluetooth rather than over the cloud (I think), so it should still work even if the company goes bankrupt, unlike Andersen's chargers.

I'm having my Simpson EVSE installed tomorrow morning (at my mum's house, not my own where I have an Easee One).
Assuming you are in the Netherlands, did you have a pay in Euro option? Any customs/importing issues?

This is being fitted in the UK at my mum's house, so it wasn't being exported outside of the UK. If you're thinking of ordering one for Ireland, maybe it's possible, and I highly recommend it.

No. If you order the untethered one, you have to purchase that separately. I don't believe you can even order a cable via Simpsons, so I just ordered one via Amazon. I had to get a 10m cable, but it came the other day and it's very nice. The cable is not too thick and it came with a nice bag. I would order this cable again.

The untethered version can be easily turned into a tethered one by inserting your cable and then activating the cable socket lock.

Yes, that's a nice feature. My Easee One in the NL acts like that, and it does add flexibility.

Simpsons sell the cable too along with the EVSE but it may be that they don't sell the cable on its own.

I have 2 CTEK chargers fitted with load balancing after looking at lots of others including Anderson

The options are excellent ie 2 sockets if required along with great app and the quality is second to none really is one to consider another point which ever people chose make sure they have power surge protection for the chargers more so now due to possible power cuts which can cause problems

On their website? I don't see that.

CTEK do make some great chargers for car and boat use. And I assume they make just as good an EVSE.

But if I were in the market for a new EVSE, I would also take into account the look. And the the Simpson one is very hard to beat, IMHO. Really nice looking unit and an attractive price.

Proceed as if to purchase and the option is there.

I don't see it even if I proceed to the checkout. Are you refering to the "tethered" option, because Clod Reed was asking if the untethered one comes with a cable.
