Awesome information! I'm also an Audi guy that went for it! But this was my second Porsche (had a 2020 Cayman GT4). This is my daily drive now.
here are my thoughts :
- Brakes, I spec the regular ones and regret it. This car is heavy and needs the PCCB. I often feel brakes heating up and loosing performance when coming from +150KMPH to 50-70 KMPH quickly. This is not normal for a Porsche.
- INNODRIVE = not ready to be commercialized. This option should only be available by leasing month by month, and should be materially improved before its made available. I've driven Volvo XC60s and Tesla Model 3s with basic driving aids and its clearly better than the INNODRIVE.
Bottom line : It lags, its dangerous, its not user friendly. The speed recognition is also useless.
- Leather inside VS Racetex : Personally, I'm really happy with leather. The ventilated seats are very nice and it ages better than racetex. Racetex should be kept for GTs...
Carbon fiber mirrors and trims : I regret not taking it. It would have made that car look like a real sport car. The GTS should be spec with it. Next time...
- 350KWH chargers : Did 5,000KM so far and used it 2 times only. It's absolutely quick. Went from 27% to 90% in less that 15 minutes. You literally have just enough time to pee and buy a bag of chips and you're up.

Nice, car looks great. Many good points. I agree generally about the charging disaster, but I regularly go between Austin and Dallas…I go directly from Austin to Fort Worth where the only reliable EA charger in the world is located. The Taycan can make it in one trip, and I love to just rip the hell out of it and arrive on fumes (electrons…?). Fail safe is knowing the Porsche grapevine dealer has fast chargers I could use in a pinch.

Agreed on passenger display. Annoyingly, it doesn’t mirror CarPlay. Which makes it 99.9% unusable.

I thought I might regret the 14 ways but rather like them. No massaging though…that would be alright.

The only benefit of Innodrive is one-click cruise setting to the speed limit. The steering was as bad as a drunk 15 year old at night trying to drive with their feet.

Yep, I LOVE my CT4S, with the one exception of the standard brakes. They are spongey and soft and don’t give me any confidence at all.

Also coming from Audi SQ7(keeping it for wife), and Volvo V60 Polestar -
I really wish that the PCCB's were an option on the GTS, did order the PSCB's but I prefer PCCBs.
Also +1 to leather. I spec'd my GTS ST with leather and forgo the Racetex.

Get them checked!
The brakes on my CT4S are superb.

The majority of the braking with a Taycan is regenerative so it is only track use of emergency stops which use the discs much.
My preference is for Cast Iron on a road car (after 30+ years using different brake materials in racing)
Composite brakes will be better on track - though not as big a gain as on an IC engined car - but have poorer bite when cold or wet than cast iron.

The plated brakes are principally a cosmetic benefit and also have inferior bite to CI when wet.

The regen component is excellent for sure so I rarely get into needing mechanical brakes. But I’ve driven other Taycans with the same brakes and they’re the same…spongey, requires decent pedal travel and overworked.

Mine aren’t.
