Yes, finding a second ignorant buyer to spend that kind of money for a short term at best high will be a challenge.
Cadillac is offering up a product which will go down in history as what not to do when building a super ultra luxury vehicle for a select few people on earth that are choosing between burning a large pile of money that won’t fit in their bank and giving it to Cadillac for a vehicle that will fade into obscurity within a year or two once everyone realizes what a boneheaded purchase it was.

If this vehicle was $100K to $150K max for mediocre tech parts dressed up in Armani it would be a reasonable ask but unlike my 2003 H2 Hummer which cost $60K with proven engine & drivetrain from their Tahoe/Suburban platform. Just a new body on the Tahoe frame for an extra $10K was a reasonable ask for an H2 but this $340K EV for boneheads with no common sense is a monumental stretch targeting people who are deciding if they want to burn money or buy something which has no value immediately after purchase…

But American car manufacturers like Cadillac know they can sell a specialty product to Americans with money that want to buy American at all costs so they give them an option to compete with Mercedes Maybach, Bentleys & Rolls Royce, etc.
There are enough of these people who made their money legitimately or fell into it through family or marriage that they are easy marks to sell a ridiculously overpriced vehicle with no long term justification it is worth it.
There are American idiots with money that would buy a tank if it could be “street legal” but even then there are idiots that would buy one to drive on their property to just say they proudly have a tank. These people usually have single digit iQs. Nothing more dangerous than people with single digit iQs with money. The best thing to do is to get in line behind all the people who will take advantage of their ignorance to sell them things no educated person with common sense would ever even consider buying.

Agree 100%, it’s all about rewarding yourself.
Look at depreciation of certain Ferraris(Lusso, SF90), any Bentley or Rolls.
Aforementioned Spectre goes brand new at a $100k discount, since no one is buying them anymore.
Majority of expensive cars have a brutal depreciation and you have to accept that fact when you want to play on that level.
Then you can go even higher and look at the new jets, just seeing their drop in price will give you a nosebleed….

I recommend some quality time in the 'track-level' Corvett - ignore the plasticy bits, and pay attention to the suspension, brakes, and handling - it's a great car.
