What are folks hearing about delivery dates for September 2021 USA Orders

I don’t understand this system at all - my order was mid/July orig freeze Sep 3 and del Nov 19. Then bumped to freeze Oct29 and del Jan 14, 2022. What models are you guys buying and in gen are they heavily optioned? Can only believe that my fully optioned 4S simply requires every semiconductor on the planet and why delayed so much more!

EDIT: just relooked at it now and dates have changed yet again! Now saying freeze Oct 16 and del Dec 31 !! I seriously doubt my car will arrive Dec 31 - need to stop looking at TYD !

Buying a CT4 with a few tech goodies but only optioned to about 110k USD.

My build was originally a dealer allocation that I just happened to inquire a few days before their original freeze date. Basically lucked into it and here we are.

Well, as feared, my production complete date was pushed from 9/3 to 9/17. Delivery pushed from 10/15 to 11/5. I was looking forward to having this car well before the Chicago winter. Alas…?

Well, there goes that hope. Just checked since you all posted updates. My delivery has been pushed another month to 12/3. This is so ridiculous…I’ve never seen the date jump so dramatically in less than a week.

Fellow Chicagoan here. I feel your pain. 8/6 order date 9/2 freeze 11/6 delivery moved to 8/31 (order date changed ???) 9/12 freeze and 11/26 delivery.

Will be very unhappy if delivered in 2022. As someone else alluded to, I don’t want to spend a year sweating out the tax credit issue (which is part of what sold my wife on getting this car).

My sales guy at Suncoast Porsche in FL just got back to me today.

I'm officially in the "Delayed by TPMS" club with the rest of y'all. My 2021 4S was scheduled for delivery on 9/2 and it's now delayed to 9/24. It's sitting in the Jacksonville port now with all the other Taycans.

I just called Porsche directly this weekend and they reiterated the 9/2 date, so looks like the supply issue is worse than I thought.

I am hoping it gets here in time for me to actually meet the pre-approval deadline for my car's financing, otherwise I have to go elsewhere and get a worse interest rate, most likely.

Your car is matching mine exactly. I had them send me the open campaign screen and the TPM is the hold sale and has only 1 key, manual steering column, and missing the phone charger. If the financing lock gets missed, I would think that qualifies for some additional discount.

at the risk of repeating myself, I ordered my car in early-mid May with an original EDD of 08/06. My dates have changed so many times that it’s been difficult to keep up. Like you, my build entered production on 07/20 but my new estimated production completion date is two weeks later than you on 09/24.

I have no VIN as of yet but my car is definitively a ‘21, as per my dealer, and my estimated delivery date now stands at 11/05.

When you log in to Porsche, does it show your car? This was how I found my VIN (see pic).

After eight reschedules, I’ve seen “him” this Monday, but I don’t know when I’ll drive it, since there‘s no info from the Factory, when TPMS control unit will be delivered to my dealer.

Man, you have endless patience - that many reschedules and I'd be tempted to bail and wait a year - regardless of root cause, just too much of a PITA!

As I said/wrote before: I’ve been thinking to cancel the contract several times in July and August…then I realized that there’s no other EV close to Taycan….so I’ll wait by the end of September.
But on October 01, I’ll cancel for sure, since there’s no sense to take MY21 in Q4.
And, I’’ll place an order for MY22, delivery somewhere in Q2…
