The regen is only supposed to start after 1-5 brakes with the disc brakes. Did your other vehicle default to regen immediately?

Yes. Only if the SOC was high it could not.

Interesting, the user manual (at least in the US version) states that for the first drive session of each day, only mechanical braking will be enabled at first to clear the brakes of dust. I find that in reality, it starts with mechanical braking if I haven't driven for ~5 hours, even if it was within 24 hours of the previous drive.

OK. Interesting. Our version does not describe that.

Brakes were updated somehow to my own 4S and during the two weeks I had it since last December - the brakes were finally feeling acceptable. Originally the feeling was varying a lot maybe caused by this first braking difference. I had many times the feeling I'm going to hit a wall or the car in front of me as the brakes may need double force and pedal was going occasionally very deep.

So I suppose there are programming/parameter differencies..

They still don't feel like 718 or 911 brakes - but acceptable.

151 days passed and nobody knows how many days to come.
16th May passed as they didn't have modules or technician or I'm just not that important customer.
Yes. Driving now a 2-wheel drive Taycan which was not perfect for winter but is OK for summer. (bluetooth audio has glitches every few seconds, light adjustment is badly off, rear camera cleaning does not work, regen starts to work after 1-5 braking's with disc brakes, winter tyres are slippery on tarmac..)
escalate to Porsche Finland if not already. It is small consolation but at least you have a Taycan loaner, in the UK you get palmed off with the worst rental car they can get away with that is nothing close to a Taycan.

Well.. I'm not a big guy but I said some BIG words about the Audi A3 loaner I got earlier from Europcar. It even had an electrical failure display like the 4S

The loaner had some 22k km on it and looks like it came used from Sweden.

HALF YEAR has passed and Porsche Espoo will do something to it next August.
I got a SMS telling next time they will drag the thing from the Porsche Espoo junkyard to see the problem is in mid august. That will be eight months from the beginning of this saga.
Meanwhile they are hiring more people via LinkedIn to 'overfill their customer's expectations'.
I do have some headroom to be overfilled here..

Just made official reclamation to start annulment of sale.

I also recently bought 4S Trashcan (btw, great key ring). I have it for about 6 months and half the time of ownership it's sitting at the dealership. They have changed rear trunk lock 3 times now (water leaks). Then I had problems with Bluetooth connection which was "fixed" 4 times with various updates. Then driver side AC port decided to throw red light on charging sessions (I had to try to reconnect 2-4 times for a successful connection). Then 360 cameras stopped working. With faulty cameras, my audio dies along with cameras....Such a shit car. When it works, I really love it, but I honestly can't remember when was the last time I enjoyed driving it.

please let me know how your annulment goes since it has crossed my mind a couple of times already.

Like said - with great margin the worst car I ever had.
In a way the best too.. I'd like to be happy with it but those times are only a faint memory for me.

My own car had rather good BT connectivity. It succeeded most of times you get into the car and have your Spotify running.
This loaner RWD however have very glitchy BT. It may work OK for a while but it can also start to break the connection with some 5-10 second interval. Must keep my Sony headphones with - they never have connection issues.

Trunk problems seem to follow CT's. I have only the side window problems when it's cold. Looks like the higher friction during winter is making the system confused and glasses hump up-and-down for some 30 seconds and stay in what ever position after that. Even fully closed position and when you slam the door closed with hard rubber seals preventing it.. some day the glass may broke.

Without lawyer Porsche Espoo or Amcap Oy are not discussing about the annulment of the sale.
Looks like I have now a good law company which helps us to make a deal with under 400 €/h charge.

Wish you good luck and hope you get an amicable outcome.

I can only agree with you, the amount of trouble the 1st generation of Taycan have had is unacceptable. Mine must have spent at least 6 months in total at Porsche workshops, for investigations, repairs, reprogramming etc.

Worst quality in a car that I ever have experienced. Compare that to my experience of owning a Tesla model 3 for 5 years. 3 hours in a workshop for a recall that Tesla called me about and had all parts etc ordered and ready to fit. Impossible to get a decent price for this Trashcan unfortunately

Any updates on your Trashcan? My story is a true copy paste of yours. Talked to the law firm and they recommended to find a solution on my own without escalation. But if there's no resolve, I'll hire them to solve this for me.

Hi. Sorry to hear there are other cases running too.
No news here. They will look at it next time on August 12th. (close to 8 months faulty then)
They were listening no proposals to return or swap the car to something functional.
Consumer rights handling would take about one year - during which the car must not been fixed. This seems no solution.
I'm in discussion with a law company that has had analog case. They can help finding the solution 335 €/h.

I wish you best of luck solving this issue. 335/hour is decent rate for a good law firm. When Porsche loses the case, they will have to cover your costs as well? At least this is how this works in our country. I'll head over next week to talk to their manager about this issue. Hopefully we'll work something out without involving lawyers. Have you talked about releasing the story to media? I'm sure they would love to pick this story up. 9 months is beyond anything normal.
