So ive driven quite a lot past two days, and now I’m getting 130kw (at 350kw chargers) regardless of starting %. I’m thinking it’s battery temp, has anyone seen similar?

while it could be the battery temp that is causing that speed it is more than likely the EA units which rarely perform properly.

When I am lucky enough to successfully initiate charging at EA, I've never gotten above ~130kW. Even after driving for nearly 3 hours at highway speeds, 80-90F ambient temp, battery temp 90F, and arriving at around 10% SoC.

For fastest charging, you need to go to the Charging menu in Settings and then click the three dots in the lower right. Uncheck the one about “battery life”. When I did this, my charging jumped up to 233kW on a 350kW EA Charger. (I have a RWD Standard Battery; I understand the Premium/bigger battery can accept up to 266kW)

This is true, sadly, my charging experience is the same even with this option disabled.

That’s 137kW at a 150kW charger. I have only been at a 350kW charger once, and I was pretty high SOC, so I don’t think it was much faster than that.

I thought the latest software update to have the option for long-term battery life only limited the max charge from 270kW to 200kW.

This is something different, that option is off for me.

I hope you're right, but how do you know it wasn't just EA disabling payment/authentication as they have done on holiday weekends and periods where the payment network is down?

Same 4 charging attempts all at 130-140 at 350 chargers

Outdoor temps will have an impact on the battery and the charger itself. When I drove my Tesla Model X across the Midwest in 95F temps my peak charging dropped below 100kW. This unfortunately is a problem with EV’s and their charging equipment.

Another note is once the battery is above 50% the charging rate usually drops below 150kW as it will taper. You will only see 175-250kW in the 40% or below range.

You're a lucky dog. My first EA experience with my 2020 after the software update was getting booted off the 350KW after 5 minutes. Then getting 105KW on the working 150KW. Even though I used my Connect App it wasn't free. I got a double "charge." Car has been flawless otherwise.

Random, i got to a charger at night where temp had been lower, 260kw. Battery same level and temp as last time. I’m wondering if it’s handle temp?

This is 99.9% EA related. When I charge in Europe at 15% or below SoC it straight jumps to 260kw. I ran a 260kp/h session on the Autobahn on a hot day down to 10% and got straight 260kw at the charger, even though the car and battery were pretty hot.
