This is very helpful thread. Mine supposed to be heading to me from the port this week. Top of the list is to get SoH on delivery and not let them DC blast it to 100% if I can help it as may be required for the PDI. However, I will be there watching it every minute before I take it for the PPF. Anything else I should get as far as data from the PDI process?
Not really TBH - they'll likely have topped up the 12V if needed etc. and the SoH imo the biggest factor (re baseline) on delivery assuming the car has less than 20 miles on it :)!

Forgot - it might be worth taking a snapshot of the HV Batery cell voltage map that is produced in teh std CarScanner layout - a very few folk had what appeared to be a few funky cells - mine here (from Feb 2023) seem to be AOK after a year plus of use:

Ok, I just got my Vlink device. My Taycan was recently purchased used. It’s a 2022 Taycan 4S CT. I had the vehicle delivered to me in TN, but I believe it was purchased originally at Porsche exchange and sold to me from Porsche Danbury in Connecticut. So I think it’s seen mostly northern US weather.

Now, my wife drives a 2022 Audi Etron S. We purchased it new in 8/22. I also hooked the vlink up and looked over the info provided. This is just anecdotal, but I figured it’d be interesting to provide.

Another interesting detail is the SoC hr is lower (97.25) than the doc display which shows 100%. The profile for the car scanner app is the same for the etron or the taycan. It’s interesting the info is reported a bit differently. Thoughts?

Thx for sharing and will upload your data asap - first thought is that the fields as mapped in the profile you're using on CarScanner are not for the Audi i.e. are you by chance using the same Taycan profile when you went from the Porsche straight to the Audi? Might need to look in CarScanner agin to oad an Audi etron profit bef reading that car?

I did both. The profile under Porsche lists Etron, etron gt, taycan conversely the profile under Audi lists the exact same thing. Etron, etron gt, taycan. I’ll certainly poke and prod some more.

Reporting my numbers after having the car home from PPF:

So at a minimum say share:

1) Delivery Soh = 99.95% putting same number as Current as measured one and only time
2) Current SoH = 99.95% measured today July 1 (74 miles) after it was delivered June 22 (27 miles)
3) Current mileage = 74 miles
4) kWh DC charging = 1 as dealer charged it once to 100%, then drove 14 miles for PDI requirement
5) Build date - April 18, 2023

So at a minimum say share:

1) Delivery Soh = 99.95% putting same number as Current as measured one and only time
2) Current SoH = 99.95% measured today July 1 (74 miles) after it was delivered June 22 (27 miles)
3) Current mileage = 74 miles
4) kWh DC charging = 1 as dealer charged it once to 100%, then drove 14 miles for PDI requirement
5) Build date - April 18, 2023
I believe we now have the highest SoH with lowest mileage to date :) - well possibly the only true delivery SoH reading to date TBH :)
Thx for sharing and will be good to get an update after a few thousand miles!

@rs38 - wanted to ping your expertise (whilst exposing my ignorance on the subject :))!

Curious re comparison of Cell Voltage maps and SoH reading - my cell voltages effectively flat at over 4v whereas two other example cars with notably lower SoH than their peer group show (albeit very minor) min-max cell voltage variations - in one case possibly even a faulty cell?

What does the absolute voltage mean here i.e. 4 vs 3.6 and how might this translate to battery capacity - is the value simply a function of current SoC or is it more a measure of the current capacity of each cell to hold/store a certain charge and thus lower numbers indicative of lower SoH?

Also is SoH calculated off of (defaulted to) the lowest cell voltage which again might help explain some lower SoH cars that still retain decent range predictions.

Have been going through a heatwave in the past two weeks (35C+) which has helped with range but clearly is taking its toll on battery degradation. Can't remember last time I saw the battery temperature under 32C, not even early morning.

Still 50kw charging once or twice a week. Never have gone under 16%

I'll probably try to bring it down once to 5% and ac charge it overnight to see if I bring a little back but I have severe doubts.

Cell voltage seems smooth across the chart. Cell temperatures are all over the place.

cell voltages directly relate to the SoC.
Empty battery ~ 3,2V up to full bettery ~4,2V.
The idea with the cell voltages is more to check if they are all equally in the 10 mV range and balanced, which is also sort of a health indicator.

Feel your pain :) we’ve had one of the hottest months of June in decades with 3 weeks of continuous 40-44C with actual feel-like temps up to 47C (117F)!!

Getting seriously old but some respite next few days - I’m actually afraid to measure my SoH!! :)

Isn't the Taycan going extremely fast from 100% to 95% SoH ?
From the info I read for Tesla's that takes about a year. With the Taycan it goes to ±95% in the first months.
I wonder if the 100% level in this soh reading is a good reference point. Are most Taycan's really delivered with 100% ?

It gives a bit a bad impression of the battery quality. A car with 90% SoH sounds like a car that lost already 10%. But in reality it only lost 5% compared the reference point when the car was 'new' (=the first half a year).
