Hi, my dealership’s dashcam partner company installed the BlackVue 900 dual camera system in my brand new Taycan. It will not connect to GPS. We just replaced the unit, tried it outside the car on a long cord and it worked fine. Back in the car 5 minutes later and no GPS again. The BlackVue has full time access to the car wifi hotspot.
Does anyone else have a BlackVue? Standard installation - by the rear view mirror.
The installers have been using BlackVue for years and do all the high end dealerships around here. I don’t have a heated windshield or anything else obvious that would interfere.
UPDATE: thanks to a forum member aiming me at Toll Sticker placement for cars with insulated glass in the manual I’ve mounted the front camera higher and to the right of the mirror just outside the black dotted area, near the roof line. Instead of below the mirror. It works now. Thanks for helping me out strangers!!!
Off to the installers to use the bracket instead of this electrical tape.
