after charging two hours at home from 34% to 58% breaker tripped put breaker on again and charge tripped again after half an hour at 64%. stop charging until next day, charge is ok stop at profile setting at 85%. does it happen to anyone ? will that be the temperature of the charger because the weather is hot here in the last two days. pick up this Taycan in March 2021 no problem for charging in last two months not until yesterday when weather getting hot.

you may want to reduce your charger setting (40 amps/220?) to say 30 amps. Heat can impede wire capacity.

First check the size of your breaker. Then check if you have anything else on the same circuit. That should not be happening if the breaker is correctly sized. Think of running an AC unit in hot weather. It shouldn't be tripping the breaker.

the breaker should be ok, two 30A breaker. I think is hot weather, try to open the lid of the charging dock during charging next time

that is not a very good set up, you should consider getting that upgraded.

Eeeek! That's not right. Should be a 50Amp 2 pole breaker for a Nema 14-50 plug.

I guess you mean a double pole 30A breaker which certainly cannot provide the max power that PMCC can use. By default PMCC is set st 32A so if you haven't lowered it then it is expected that it trips the breaker and consider yourself lucky if nothing have melted.
you have to lower PMCC current to no more than 24A if you have a 30A breaker.

And you can't just stick a bigger breaker on the circuit. You have to check if the wire is the correct size or risk burning your house down.

I have 2 breaker each 30A, do you mean that is only 30A total it can handle

The maximum amperage a 30A breaker can handle is 24 amps (80% of 30amps). Your description is a little confusing. Do you have one double pole 30 amp breaker (there are two switches connected by a little black pin) or 2 separate 30 amp breakers (that would not be good).

OK. Your quick fix is to reduce the voltage setting on the PMCC from the default setting down to 24A per a previous post.

The longer term fix is to swap out the 30A breaker for a 50A breaker but if and only if the cable from the panel to the PMCC is sized correctly. If you don't know the size, then you should get a qualified electrician to look at it. It has to be done to code. Also you would need to know the panel can handle the extra amps given what else may be connected to it.
