Great post. I did mine tonight and here are thoughts / pics.
I didn’t touch fender liner. I used T20 (you mentioned you used t15) screw to take out the one screw that is semi-easily seen exposed inside the wheel well.

I unscrewed the screw and light assembly easily slid out but was still clipped to wiring harness. I used my finger to push the backside of the coupling and it released. It does need to be “released” so don’t pull too hard expecting it to slide off.

Putting new one on was pretty straightforward but challenging I’m that there is such little play in extra wiring to get leverage behind the harness that attaches to the light assembly. After tinkering for 5 minutes it snapped on and then applied the screw.
I did notice the there is some play on the end so probably need to screw tighter. Will do that later as I was running short on time.
Overall took 20 minutes to do both.
Wow, really surprised yours was T20. I tried for far too long to use a T20 during disassembly and then once the light was out I double and triple checked. Couldn’t get T20 to fit at all. T15 was snug.

Out of curiosity, do you know when your car was built?

Anyone do this on the CT? They look like the ones on the configurator, but actual pics show the amber ones.

Great write up. Thanks!

I did not see need to do step 1.
I did not see any "spacers" on mine. (MY22)

I went to make installing the clear markers today's project. I followed Nai's wonderful instructions, BUT couldn't remove the amber ones from the power connector. When you say pinch the connector, can you give any more insight on where to pinch?
I just used my fingers and started squeezing the backside of coupler in certain areas...after 10 seconds of trial and error you can feel the click of it releasing. Very simple.

Did you have T15 or T20 on the screw that holds the actual side market light to the car? When was your car built? Looks great!

Built in 3/21. I used the T-15, that was enough. No spacer, very simple plug and play. RT one wouldn't turn on, but turned off / turned on a couple of times and now works perfect.

Here's how it turns out on a Neptune Blue CT, before and after, incase anyone wants that for reference. I've also included one additional picture showing the location of the most important screw (the one that threads directly into the side marker) because that didn't seem totally clear to me.

Definitely set air suspension to LIFT and lock the steering in the opposite direction of the signal to make access easier. MAKE SURE the car is off, who knows when it might decide to lower itself and that could be dangerous if your hand's in there. Stay alert.

Oh man, it's night and day with these achromatic "colors." Even more of an upgrade than on my Neptune. Huge upgrade, nice work.
