Impressively misleading comparison from that listing:

“Enhanced Efficiency: Charges up to 4X faster than a standard 32Amp 7.7kW charger, maximizing your charging efficiency.”
Yeah, advertising sucks. However, 22 kW is real and you don’t need a 22Kw AC OBC.

While I am happy that such products exist, their price make them simply uninteresting. And just to compare it to the 22KW onboard AC charger that Porsche cannot replace at the moment there is the problem that many chargepoints in rural or city locations here in Europe offer 22KW AC and not DC.

Go for it.
Def get a j1.2 Taycan 4s.
Get the CT - rides slightly higher and more comfortable.
20" rims for comfort and efficiency.
Noise insulated glass.
Regular memory seats; ideally with ventilation and massage.
Adaptive cruise.
Bose.

If you have a home charger and a work charger (as long as you can defo use it) I don't see 200miles a day as an issue...

If the work charger is free you'll be quid's (edit* 'Buck's in' - can i say that?) in too!

You'll just have to be 'on it' and keep on top of charging!

Even without work charger it won't be an issue, just have to have 20" and a Sedan variant in case of J1.1. As I understand the commute is 200 mile round trip.
If it's 200 mile each way then work charger is a must.

If you want to max out charging in your garage, check out this bad boy. You’ll have a DC supercharger for 10 grand.

the problem with any CCS residential EVSE is that when plugged into CCS the car does not respect schedule or max son% settings - so it's less suitable for home/residential use … but still cool - because it bypasses the and OBC AC/DC converter it can charge any CCS EV at 21-28 kW max rate - that's way better than 9.6 kW or 11 kW that some EV's are typically limited to…

I've often considered one of these - but their cost, reliability, and the interaction with the vehicle for schedule daily charging is holding me back.

Just out of curiosity, do you think it runs off a relatively normal 100a breaker, or would it somehow need more?

CCS chargers are fundementialy AC/DC converters the ad says it supports 208V/220V - so it should just need/use a normal residential circuit - I'm betting it configurable also for breaker size - so probably adjustable to 50-125 AMP breakers…

220V AC power is pretty straight forward and is rated for like 20'ish kW's (19.2 kW for example in North America) - so it's entirely plausible this unit will work just find on a normal residential install with a 100 amp breaker - wire gauge, wire material, length and termination however needs top notch with no short-cuts taken… 3 gauge or 1/0 gauge wire feeding this unit and it could provide 20'ish kW of CCS/FastDC power… ;-)

the main appeal for me in the bypassing of any OBC limits - so any modern EV is likely to charge at this unit's "full rate"…the downside is cost and the variability of schedule target SOC% support across various EV's

this would be a great unit to feed the new Cayenne EV which for North American says it's limited to 9.6 kW…

the Macan EV charging software supports target SOC% for FastDC charging, but not schedule - so I'm guessing the Cayenne EV will also support target SOC% for FastDC charging and we'll have to see about scheduling support - but ROFL the Cayenne has a Native NACS port for fastDC charging so you'll have to use the included Prosche CCS Adatper for this particular CCS EVSE - unless they offer a NACS charging cord…no big deal but the Cayenne for North America is not native-CCS fast charging port…
