wow. colored icons looks terrible. looks like the first version of Android from 2008.

Also, "don't use apple carplay because it adds a layer of complexity"? The truth is once you start using carplay you never want to see the native system again.

I checked out my Taycan 4S today after it arrived at the dealer. No color icons in the PCM.

Production start: 2022-02-15 (week 7)
Production complete: 2022-02-23

So if week 7 was the cutoff I barely missed the new PCM. This means mine has to be one of the last Taycans produced without the color icons. That makes it more valuable, right?! Right!?!

It’s too crowded. The original was more balanced. Way too many colors going on. Music/climate/phone/navigation are in three places now. It’s too much. They need to offer a reduced/grayscale option, or varying designs like an Apple Watch.

I was thinking the same but can somebody comment on the process to receive an upgrade? Does it require a dealer visit or will I be prompted to download it? My dealer is very backed up and just canceled my service visit (related to the alarm problem) for another 3 weeks.

If Porsche decides to push the latest update to other Taycans with older software builds, there will be an announcement and your Porsche Center will get technical information on how to perform the upgrade.
