I’m supposed to be on the RCC Classic which departed Emden yesterday but TYD hasn’t update. Does anyone know when TYD typically reflects the change?

Spoke SA today (Porsche Atlanta Perimeter). Siem Confucious is likely to dock in Jacksonville on 11/20. Looks like on track my vessel that Siem Confucious is likely going to be in Davisville 11/13 or 11/14.
That was the original port date, my TYD slipped to 11/22 in Jacksonville port. I suspect they lost a day or two maneuvering around TS Wanda and resulting seas slowed her down. The rest of my TYD dates still show 12/10, 12/17 and 12/24. I trust those will update once our car is processed in port.

This is my understanding as well - the ship is 48-60 hours behind schedule.

I’m on the same vessel - and my TYD didn’t change either. I can see that RCC Classic went to Bremerhaven. I wonder if TYD updates when the vessel is departing for the US? Just speculation. Does anyone know what the ships are doing in Bremerhaven? I assume they are loading cars from other manufacturers?

Getting to close the purchasing paperwork on my Taycan CT4S which takes delivery at the PEC in a couple weeks. I ordered the car from a dealership in Houston but live in Socal so the local sales tax here is 7.75% (Orange County) and that math checks out. None of the other fees and taxes seem egregious or tacked on out of place but figured I'd run it by the community here to see if anything stands out as unusual before I finally sign off and mail the paperwork back.

Don't trust the dates in TYD.
This photo was taken this morning, 11-Nov, at the dealer lot. TYD is reporting current step as Port Processing which was completed on 6-Nov.. Note that the rear spoiler is black on this car with a 13-Sep freeze date.

Are those the texas fee's or the Orange County ones? The Dealer's inventory tax and road & bridge fee I haven't heard of in OC. Also Tile/license seems low for CA? BTW I'm in OC also!

I spoke to my SA who said all fees and taxes are applicable to a buyer in OC except for dealership inventory tax which he says is mandatory for all cars sold thru a TX dealership even if the car doesn't officially physically arrive at said dealership.

Yeah I never heard of road & bridge tax either which he said is not a TX specific fee.

Just curious. You live in California, bought a car through a TX dealership, and Porsche is delivering the car to you in CA?

Thanks for the info. Is CA delivery via PEC-LA the only option for delivery by Porsche? Or could you have had Porsche deliver it to you in CA some other way?

You can arrange whatever 3rd party transportation company you want, there are plenty out there.

But last time I shipped a car, I bought a 911 in St Louis and had it shipped to Socal, it cost me around $1500 in a fully enclosed truck trailer.

For $500, choosing the PEC-LA delivery option I get:
1. Relatively secure and fully accountable shipment of the car with Porsche being fully responsible for handling it, not a 3rd party company.
2. Free lunch in their restaurant
3. 90 min of driving time in their enclosed test track behind the facility
4. An overall VIP experience when they present my car.

For that price and given how close I live to the PEC, it's a no brainer shipment decision for me.

Same thing as no update in Tyd.
This is stressful because we do not know if the car make it or not on the boat. ?‍?
