That’s a very precise date over 2 months away. I have never been given a date like that even much closer to delivery. I can’t imagine how they can be sure as the car won’t have been built yet. Good luck anyway though!
Yup. We shall see. He was insistent when I challenged it. I'm not holding my breath, I'll believe when I'm sat in it.

Mine also sounded fairly precise. He said 5 days ago…
‘Your new Taycan now looks like it will start build on 1stJuly – hopefully no more delays.
Thank you for your patience’.
So hopefully I’ll have it late July??
Ordered 6th Sept, was told del should be around Feb maybe early March.

Sounds promising mate. Hopefully it's accurate for the both of us. Have to say the experience so far has been underwhelming and frustrating. Not my first Porsche but is my first new Porsche. I'm sure I'll forget it all after a few drives.

I’m also on a few USA forums and in general the dealer comms over there seem better than ours!
Yes, we all know about the microchip and Ukraine issues, but that shouldn’t result in zero communication?

Yes the US guys seem to have a far greater breakdown of schedule activities that we don't seem to be able to access here. Crap really.

Also I don't get why USA have packages which we don't...
EG - Taycan premium package:
Panoramic roof, Dynamic lights, 14-way seats, Bose, lane-change assist, ventilated seats, surround-view, ambient lighting, and a storage package.
Saves couple grand compared individual prices

I ordered a Taycan Sport Turismo in Feb and so far I’m scheduled as planned to get it built next month and hopefully get the car in July.
I’m on Phase 3 according to my Porsche app and also got an email confirmation earlier this month.
I guess I’m one of the luckier ones in here.

You certainly are!
You must be famous, rich, a regular buyer or something else??

I’m buying my first ever Porsche and certainly not famous.
But yeah probably lucky as I was originally going to opt for a Cross Turismo and was looking around 12 months waiting time but by pure chance my dealer said a ST variant had just been introduced with a 4/5 month waiting time so jumped on it.

Over the past 12 months I have gone: -

Ordered - Cayman GTS 4.0 - Cancelled due to delay.
Ordered - Audi RS3 - Cancelled due to delay.
Ordered - Taycan CT4 - anyone's guess ;-)

Anything worth actually owning at present usually involves a massive wait. Unless your prepared to buy nearly new and get well and truly shafted paying over the odds :-(
I wonder if CT4 is quickest for delivery? I ordered Sept, PC Silverstone (lousy communication) just had notice on My Porsche App build complete :). BTW stupidly quick to drive in every guise and after a test on track plenty quick enough to feel ‘ill’.

I found PC Silverstone so utterly useless I abandoned them and went with Leicester instead.

Seemed completely disinterested.

I had a call from my sales person to make sure I was happy with my latest configuration because Porsche were going ahead suddenly with some orders.
I suspect anybody who has an order with no options susceptible to extra delay is getting made to get the throughput. I dropped the Bose option for this reason and my code is still showing MY22 and volcano grey painted wheels which are not on the latest configurator.
I did want matrix lights but was told they will be available for cars MY23 in 3 months time, not now.

I added Bose, Laminated windows, a few other toys, 14 way seats, heated wheel, glass roof to my CT4. 8 months wait against expected 6 months is okay. Dealer radio since is not. But change from when I got my I Pace.

Talk with sales exec yesterday. Told me that all Taycans are now >1 year wait if ordered now
o_O doesn't surprise me.

Finally getting excited about mine, just got the vehicle reg from dealer and provisionally booked in to collect from them on 26th May!
