FWIW I hope everyone is not solely relying on the dealerships - just briefing them - It may be more important to actually inform your national 'Smart-mobility' or Porsche-[national] and asking them for the solutions. mebbies also sending copy emails etc to PAG Germany.

The more focussed our complaints/requests the more likely they may (not holding breath) treat this seriously. If only your OPC is in the picture about failed fixes etc - the info could be too diffuse for a picture higher up

better yet a joint email from this forum with names (data protection may prevent this) - or usernames (should be ok) of petitioners attached.

I was thinking of setting up a small website, which based on a country selection, directly opens the submission form for the chosen European national consumer agency, including a default template report describing the problem at hand. All that without storing any data in the actual website or anything, so no GDPR issues to speak of.

By making the reporting step more accessible to people, perhaps it would encourage them to take the step. Just haven't found the time to do it yet.

That would be brilliant F - great idea! ........

It would compliment our emails to Porsche [national]/Smart-Mobility when fixes fail etc to make sure they know the full scale of issue and failed fixes - cant rely on OPCs.

I contacted smart mobility via email and got back from my service center asking for a video (I got 3885 a month earlier).

A small note from a developer: The car is connected to Porsche the whole time. Why doesn‘t it send a crash note and why do I have to make a video while driving a car ?

So they can see the error for the first time ever, since they have never heard of it, the error is so unheard of that they think you are lying /s

Exactly. I’m experiencing the same PCM/Navi issues as all of you in this thread. I was also asked to provide videos. Now I’ve received a message from my Porsche Centre saying they’ve received a request from Stuttgart to “conduct tests on the GPS antenna and the PCM/GPS system’s communication”. Also from my observation GPS itself does work but it are the turn-to-turn messages that are failing, so I don’t think this will solve the problem, but we’ll wait and see …

I have similar issues with the NAV lately. I won't add more on that : it should be fixed. No discussion.
I'll come back however on the preconditioning: it is not such a big problem in winter, and even less in summer.

I keep monitoring for almost 2 yrs all trips more than 700km, where I have to charge more than once: SoC, power, heater, batt. temp, outside temp., etc...

I'll give two examples where I was driven in Range mode.

-summer: outside temp around 30°C, 5 stops, heater never started once. Battery temp. slowly increases to 35° while driving, and stays between 40° and 50° after the first charge. I do not rule out however that BMS might have decreased the cooling of the battery when getting close to the first charger.

- winter: a recent trip where the NAV crashes perhaps 10 times (or more...). it was not extremely cold (outside temp. between 5 to 10°). Only 2 stops that time. Heater was on to heat inside (2 to 3 A), and on for preconditioning for the first stop. Battery temp. stayed around 30° after the 1st stop, and there was no need to heat it for the 2nd stop.

I have other datasets where I deliberately did not use the NAV planner under similar temp. Battery was around 25° at 1st stop, max charging speed did not exceed 150kW. It took about 10 more mins to charge to 85% compared to with preconditioning. Not a big deal on a 7hrs trip.

In my experience ABRP has worked very well. It is not the best about navigation tricky roads etc. Google or Waze is much better for that purpose.

but on a longer road trip ABRP along major roads works very well. It also has the benefit of being able to filter away all the useless charging stations and only show the brands you prefer and want. If you manage to link it to your car you will get the battery SoC so it can adjust your charging stops if necessary.

In the summer time I have just put the car on Sport plus mode, which heats up the battery a bit more than in Normal mode. It is still not as warm as the preconditioning function, but means you might have time for a second espresso and a croissant instead!
’The difference in charging time is not that big an issue in the summer.
I'm also pissed off about the Nav issues, but at present I don't see the items you note as killers.

Android Auto works better than the last time I used it.

The passenger screen is useless for Nav given where it is. It gets used by my kids for DJing mostly.

Driver display is a pest not having Nav from Android Auto, but I use it for powermeter etc without. etc.

HUD is more on the verge of useless without Android Auto replication. But I use that infrequently anyway.

Can't say as I've noticed a material enough difference with pre-conditioning.

My hope is that Porsche upgrade us all to the same branch that works. And then keep it in sync until the hardware changes preclude it (it will eventually happen). Will happily wait until June for that.

If they don't, and they bugger about for more months with poor "fixes", then I might start looking at options. If only the Emeya was better looking and available in "ST" format.

How can you check if pre conditioning is still on?
I have had the battery heater on for quite long drives. The battery temperature was very high and did not cool down. CarScanner showed that the PTC heater continued wit some very high amps. Much more amps than cabin heater ever has consumed, even in minus 20C in Norway.

Needless to say the trip consumption was very high.

I tried to put the car in sport plus to cool down the battery, but no help at all.

something similar happened in the winter trip I mention above.

I split the phone screen with Waze and Car scanner when driving.

NAV crashed when I was getting close to the first stop, while heater was on preconditioning (>10A). I then noticed that the heater was still on for about a minute, while I was resetting the whole thing and was a bit surprised since the car had (I assume) no destination defined. But it stopped after that minute (or about) and started again when NAV calculated the charging stops.

in your case, it didn't stop for some reason. Did you re-enter the destination or perhaps gave up (and a flag somewhere wasn't reset) ?

In my case when it happened, only turning off and on the car stopped the “pre-conditioning”/heating.
New destination/route did not fix it.

Sport plus did however kick in the fans for me, which did help cool down the battery fast after the car restart; so it could be that your fans are broken @Scandinavian
