FWIW....... I just received this email from UK Smart Mobility...

I completely understand your frustration regarding the matter.

We are currently continuing to liaise with Porsche Germany to establish the next steps to try and resolve the issue.

We hope to have an update next week and as soon as we do, I will be sure to update you regarding this.

Thank you for your continued patience on the matter.

ends

.....(still no mention of compensation or payment freeze window etc)

8 month (?) later and porsche centers and mobility are still trying to get communication with porsche germany to happen.

Still clueless about the issue, what the fix is and when it’s coming.

This company is a clown show. How can you not send clear communication across all your channels on this matter after so many months?

They must be using carrier pigeons at porsche for communication, and all the pigeons are wingless.

Crikey, that’s extreme, is that with charger planner toggled on or off?

Probably on because I was logged in as a Guest - since resetting a month ago to try to fix it I haven’t been able to log in as me. So I’d guess it enables charge planner by default

So you proved your hypothesis - Taycan nav works fine as long LTE datacomm is off.

I sometimes wonder how Porsche plans to communicate with customers when the wider VW Group is laying off 50,000 people. If anything, communication with end users already feels close to zero — and it’s hard to imagine that improving over time.

The real issue is that many customers feel Porsche simply isn’t taking them seriously. As frustrations continue, that inevitably means losing loyal clients over time.

At the same time, Porsche seems to be pushing pricing higher and positioning itself as even more exclusive. Ironically, many of us already feel “exclusive” — in the sense that we’re excluded from any meaningful communication.

Anyway… let’s see how that strategy plays out while I wait for the next recall notice.

Good question. Luckily the new CEO of Porsche is an old colleague.

Given I dumped the Taycan for the 8yo Model S for the Swiss ski trip last week, I shall be forwarding him a link to this thread and asking him this very question.

I'd rather never recieve another copy of Christophorus EVER but get better actual consumer information from Porsche AG mothership about my car and what they doing to fix its problems.

See photo, Taycan all dressed up and then left at home.

Tesla navigation completed 1500 miles and 10 charges there and back without a single glitch whereas Porsche crashes every ten minutes. AND I don't have to pay Porsche connected services £20 a month for it!

Let's see what he says.

It’s a mysterious issue to say the least, mine is an example that was crashing every few minutes and unusable to being fine after a 3885 update. Not calling it as fixed but it sure is an odd one.

You’re not alone. 3k km after being upgraded to 3885, mine shows no issues.

Of course I remain extremely skeptical that my issue is resolved, as there’s plenty of other instances here where this update didn’t do anything. But yeah, so far mine is working just fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

+1. 100% fine after 3885 and a 'two-finger' restart.

Mine was fine until the BMS update and is still broken after 3885 and I've tried two finger reboots as well.

Still completely unreliable. Can't even go to the next town without it falling over.

Is that with the charge planner off @F1Ruaraidh? I ask because the Porsche centre who did mine suggested that (plus many members on here have good reason to believe charger data overwhelming the PCM is a big part of the issue).

To pick up on the communication issue, the smartmobility agent that has been my contact since I first reported PCM crashing says he’s not aware its a widespread problem.

Surprising given he liaised with the Porsche Centre to book it in who were clear on emails that 3885 is not the solution and that Porsche AG is working that.
