Not sure if this has been addressed but it would be nice to have software feature requests sent to Porsche somehow. A large group like this would be a good resource for them to refine their product.

I will start:
  • "one and done" direct charge mode where you don't have to remember to turn it off after the charge - useful for the occasional long trip
  • "soft buttons" on the Carplay Porsche app to augment the stingy 2 on the steering and dash (i.e. allow programming more quick features than 2)

I get the feeling Porsche isn’t interested in feedback like this. Unlike Tesla (at the beginning) and Lucid (now) clearly want customer input. But… if they are listening, here are my top 2 at the moment:
1) Allow the HomeLink buttons to appear over the backup cameras. I’d like to close my garage door while in reverse and not have to then push the camera button again.
2) What the heck is up with the backup camer and the weird fish-eye view?!? It makes the camera so hard to use. Please fix!

There is at least 1 other thread just like this one already.

I pinged the national branch by email (in the UK - [email protected]) - they noted this as the way to send feedback.

I haven't, of course, heard anything further back :)

Hi. If you allow GPS, the Homelink button will appear over or beside your camera when you near your location. I use it with no problems.

I’m 99% sure this would lead to someone else complaining that the car doesn’t remember the direct charge mode setting.

And having both options would lead to people further complaining about how complicated the charging is and people using one when they should use the other….and then posting on here about why their direct charging either is or isn’t working….

Lol true. on that note is using direct charging a thing they people do constantly? I thought it was bad for the battery so a “special occasion” thing.

A fair amount of my job involves providing technical support and asking myself “why in F are they trying to do it that way…”. I’m fairly certain there are people doing just about anything you might care to guess they aren’t.
