Who has had the first 20,000 Mile/30,000 km service done and what did you pay for it? I had a dealer quote $1,000 for a pollen filter change and brake flush plus an "inspection". A brake flush for my wife's AMG GT was $200 and I can do the cabin air filter myself so that seems a bit steep.

That’s steep. My 911 service with brake fluid flush came in less than that. Of course, that’s with an oil change, etc.

Agreed, very steep. Brake fluid change at my dealer for a 911 or Macan is $180. Don't know what they would charge for the Taycan, but anything more then that, I would just do it myself.

My dealer attempted to sell me service for the first 2 years for $770. Brake fluid and top up the washer fluid.

Check the thread "Dumb Mistake: Air in the ABS system" @NC_Taycan, seems the brake fluid flush is way more complicated on a Taycan than any other Porsche vehicles, and the flush alone may take up the better part of the $1,000.

I have two issues with the assertion that the design of the brake system is trickier on the Taycan--and that is why the service is so expensive. (I am reacting to the decision by the dealer not your post)

1) That sounds like it is a really poor design if that is true
2) The dealer told me they can do it in 2 hours so I can just wait for the car.

I've called the Audi dealer to find out what they charge for the service on the E-tron GT which is essentially the same exact car.

$1000 is really a lot. Isn't the first service free in general?

In Canada the first service is free (the 2 year maintenance package is a $0 option here). But after that I might just take the car to Audi for servicing ?

There is a previous thread about service costs in Europe and it looks like a dealer scam.

If you scroll through a number of posts you can find the official service centre in Paderborn have a price list on their home page.

2 year service price is 300 Euros and a 4 year service is 380 Euros, plus perhaps a brake fluid change for 185 Euros. Difficult see from their prices if that is included in the stated service costs

They will do the brake flush and the pollen filter, they claim they cannot do the checks

Yes only on new ICE model purchases.
