Did you try pulling and replacing the charge port door fuse to initiate the door calibration process as I posted above? Really curious to know if that works.
Is there something to calibrate on manual doors which appears to be the OP case? I don't think there's a fuse for manual doors but I could be wrong.

I believe you can pul the mechanical chord to 'force open' an electric charge door and supposedly it will make it available and to use
No.
The cord is only for emergency release of the plug when its stuck.
It has nothing to do with the door.

I have put your suggestion to the local dealer. I can see there is one fuse for the lock and one for the sensor.

They either want to recover the car back to the UK or keep the car here until it is fixed.

I pointed out putting my car on a transporter and the getting a Spanish hire car back from the UK all for the sake of a potentially blown fuse seems excessive.

Hopefully they will try your suggestion.

Even if the fuse is not blown, by removing and re-installing the fuse, you cycle the power to the charge port doors, which may cause them to go through the recalibration process. This idea comes from another thread where disconnecting and reconnecting the 12 volt battery caused the charge port doors to recalibrate. Removing and re-installing the fuse is easier than disconnecting and reconnecting the 12 volt battery and may have the same result.

Unclear if its elec or manual. If it manual its poss the weak plastic locking pin on the door snapped (happened to me). Push something into it to fool it to think the door is shut and get the CCS open.

The doors are manual. I will try to fool it but as neither door locks I suspect it will detect the lock failure. I'll let you know...

update 2..

I contacted my OPC back in the UK. They have been great. Their senior engineer is going to send instructions to Porsche Marbella on how to do a reset.

As a plan B we have booked 4 hotels with charging to allow us to get back to the UK.

I am so glad I chose the 22kW option.

update...

Took it in to Porsche Marbella today. They ran diagnostics but couldn't determine the nature of the fault.
They are sending the file to Germany to have Porsche engineers look at it.

Our crossing from France to the UK is on Saturday so the plan is....

We leave tomorrow and aim to drive 350 km in the mornings, find a lunch stop with 22kw charging. Have a long lunch and the drive to a hotel. Rinse and repeat until we are home.

I have asked the OPC Marbella to share the results with my local OPC in mid Sussex when they are available.

I will update this posts with the fix and useful search terms when I get the car fixed.

I will also write to Porsche HQ and point out that there is a hole in Porsche Assistance coverage that doesn't make allowances for cars the are driveable for local trips but not for longer journeys.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions, advice and support.

update

I made it home last night after 5 days on the road.

I will update this thread with the results of issues when I have them.
I also will post a separate thread on lessons learned when relying solely on AC charging.

Well done for your persistence.
I hope you saw nice things during you 5 day trip and had excellent food and lodgings as some compensation.

You are lucky to have the 22 kW option!
Well done to get back and interested to hear what the problem is?

Read your thread with interest because exactly the same thing happened when we took a Taycan for an extended test drive yesterday. Luckily we had enough battery to get back to the dealer. It's particularly frustrating that this isn't something the Spanish team could solve locally - making you limp back home slowly. I hope some "quick fixes" emerge in case we get that problem on one of our trips!
