Well… it appears that the Glovis Supreme is 10 hrs late for Lazaro Cardenas Port call. So, maybe it’s skipping over?

I don't think we're that lucky. I think it's waiting for a berth to open up. Hopefully be in quick and perhaps leave tomorrow evening. It made really good time up from Panama.
San Diego perhaps 26th, Benicia 29th or 30th?

How many Sacramento area/Niello owners on here btw?

Looks like we're in the Pacific and underway!

Hoping that this alleged Lazaro Cardenas stop is an error... it doesn't even appear as a possible port on the Stena Glovis schedules. That being said, it looks like it's right on the way. If it adds even one day to the schedule, no one's going to complete that transaction in 2021! I don't blame them for pulling over to pee, it's been WEEKS since they left Germany, and I assume they took on some tasty German brews at Emden.

Forgive my ignorance on the tax credit, but where can I see that it expires in 2021? I did see that if the "build back better" act passes, the credit will be reduced or eliminated for those with high incomes (depending on how high.) I hope that most of us have high incomes, or we wouldn't be buying these cars! But... that bill is looking like it won't pass. So does the $7,500 really disappear in 2021? Point me to the evidence. Thanks!

No unfortunately the posting was correct and Lazaro Cardenas was a port that Glovis stopped at. Was in the anchorage outside Lazaro Cardenas on 12/22 and ported there for about 6-10 hrs. Just left today 12/24 around 0250 AM.. FleetMon and Marine Traffic and others give you pretty good timetable and are MUCH more accurate than TYD updates. I've been watching and screen shot capture the trip. See below. Glovis is due in San Diego docks on 12/27 1430 PM now. Gives Porsche about 72 hrs to get cars off the ship and processed thru PDI and onto a truck to deliver before the 12/31 New Years Eve as I am sure the port will either shut down or reduce hours for New Years eve holidays or the PDI will. So makes it a very tight timeline to get cars in hands before 1/1/2022 IMHO at this point unless as some have said their dealers are willing to do paperwork on 12/31/21 without actual car on the lot but inventoried from Porsche to them I would expect while awaiting PDI completion.

As for me....AM not going crazy over this tho at this point as all of it is out of my/our hands...can't make the ship steam faster or the unload and PDI go any quicker folks.

GLOVIS SUPREME needs to pull up on GRAVITY HIGHWAY a bit so she can open up her DRS and get a draft up to SoCal..........
Gravity is heading to Long Beach (too bad for those folks), and I am still hoping against hope for a quick port roll off to get paperwork done. Still has to make it to Benicia probably on 30th now.
Our Norcal dealer told somebody else everyone at Porsche is still pushing for end of the year..... so this was best I had heard in a while............

RIverside. We should compare what our respective dealers are telling us.
Any word from your rep or anyone else's re how long after port docking do they hear about it? Boat's on schedule to dock in an hour lol.

My guy is sick, so he's out of commission.

It's my understanding that when the car is unloaded from the ship and parked on the docks, there is some type of electronic activity that officially transfers title of the car to the dealer. I assume at that point the dealer is aware of the car's transfer.

If you really want to "geek out," go to this link and very shortly you will see the Glovis Supreme pull into the San Diego harbor.

Nice! Got some clear markers, key case, and an LA driving experience voucher for Christmas, so I'm good to go. Just need a car.

Called my SA today for the first time since September to give him a heads up. He doesn't have hopes that the car can be purchased this year, but is checking with the sales manager. We'll see how the week unfolds.

FWIW, since there has been no change in the law, he expects that the tax credit will continue to be used as a cap cost reduction into the new year. I was going to purchase, but if that is the case, I'll probably take the "bird in hand" approach and lease. I'm thinking I can always buy out early. If not, I'm sure someone will set me straight. Please.
