So true! Got mine back yesterday and my commute was a delight (compared to the Base Macan loaner). A very rapid delightOn the positive side, you will cry tears of joy when you get your Taycan back. ??
- I phoned them on 15th to report heater failure, and was offered today as the earliest I could take it in for diagnosis (provided I didn't require a loaner). I now know that they ordered the likely replacement part, which arrived in time to fit today- which was nice (to borrow a catchprase).
Maybe you should rip yours out and put it on eBay if you don't use it!Hmmm - I wonder how many of us south of Sat L35N (hotter climates) have no idea if their heater might in fact have failed as frankly I basically never have heat on in the car - prefer on the rare colder winter mornings to just use the seat heaters - now I think I should start testing this although I’ve had zero mechanical issues with my car since delivery end Dec 2021.
Maybe another poll to include location might be useful although the results will I am sure be highly predictable!
Ha - indeed I could prob make a killing right nowMaybe you should rip yours out and put it on eBay if you don't use it!
However, I think colder regions get a different heater/heat pump installed?
Yep, that's what my Service guy sheepishly told me when I picked up my car after 5 weeks.PCNA bulletin to dealers in February indicates that replacement heaters currently being installed may need a future campaign/recall once improvements are available.
Well, what can I say, if this goes on I’ll trade mine in for a 911. I’ve just done some quick maths and it turns out I was able to drive my Taycan for a whopping 62% of my overall ownership time.Terrible

That is what I would expect tbo.PCNA bulletin to dealers in February indicates that replacement heaters currently being installed may need a future campaign/recall once improvements are available.
Maybe I'm wrong, but i rather got the impression from empirical data that it was happening to newer cars generally. Would imply something gone amiss or a different part supplier or something. That is what I would expect tbo.
Until there is a solution to the fault causing the failure it is just a question of replacing failed parts with the same type until the redesign is in production and proven. Then the reliable ones will obviously go into new builds first then eventually be available for a recall IMO.
The reality is that it would be best if the fault had been found at the prototype stage but it wasn’t (presumably) and I am sure they are dealing with it as fast as they can.
My TYD had this pop up also, no delay on picking up my CT 4S. I believe they are sending warmer climate vehicles through (I am in Texas) and planning to recall them at a later date. Hopefully they do that before mid 2024, as I am finally moving out of Texas and back to Minnesota, so a heater will need to work 100% of the time.Terrible

I did say empirical!Friend has a 2020 4S. Heater failed in Feb. 2023.
First report of heating failure in this forum was in Oct. 2020.
