I bought out the lease on my 4S and have a new GTS custom order set to arrive next month. I also do not care about depreciation - I knew the residual when I signed the lease papers which made the buyout still better than buying a used one of identical specs today (plus, I'm able to write off a portion of my lease through business).

Yea, I'm beyond happy with the vehicle and have had no major issues. The minor ones, Porsche has taken great care of in reasonable time. Oh, and I will add that I'm not worried about the new face-lift or any other new features that might come along with it - the last of the original version sits well with me. Every driving experience has been pure joy.

Hoping this might help some people who are looking to buy …

So, depreciation keeps coming up in conversation. It’s fair to say Taycan has a sharp depreciation curve. Let’s reverse engineer this for a second. How many would buy again knowing what they know now? And how many would have bought used? I’ll go first, I sold my 4 year old Tesla at tail end of Covid for exactly what I paid for it 4 years prior (50k). I have a 2023 GTS I bought for 151k plus I got the 7500 rebate. I took that 50k out of Tesla, put it in Money Market yielding 5+% and took out a 84 month loan at 3.8% from my local credit union. Today that Tesla would have been worth 20k or less. So, I’m probably net neutral have a much cooler new car and I’d absolutely do it all over again. I can’t say I would have bought used then (market was 30k over sticker), with no inventory BUT if I had to buy now I’d 100% buy preowned. There’s nothing I’d want besides the Taycan - it’s phenomenal and will be for many years to come. I plan on keeping it 5+ years. Fingers crossed, one year car has been absolutely rock solid.
I would buy a year old one. Let someone else take the depreciation. Buy low mileage car if the price is right. The battery warranty is 8 years or 100,000 miles NO BRAINER

Despite the quality on Taycan less then on the 911 (I can compare because I have a 911 and a Taycan) I would immediately buy a Taycan again.

It's one of the few EV's that rides like a 'real' car. I thinks owners will understand what I mean.

My GTS and I are still on our "honeymoon" but after a few weeks of driving I have zero regrets about ending my string of three Tesla Model S's and finally getting a real driver's car that also happens to be electric. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I have had a GTS ST since May 2022, 55,000km and no serious problems.
Two recalls, brakes and battery and one replacement (heater).
All done in one/two days after appointment with the dealer.

I am negotiating for a GTS ST J1.II for delivery in March/April 25.
Depreciation: Except in rare cases cars are not an investment, you have to make do with the pleasure they give you (if they give you any) and this one gives me a lot of it, so I am quite fine with the depreciation too.
I am not interested in being a cemetery rich man, so I prefer to use (or waste) my resources before I find myself in that place... :)

My answer to the question asked: Yes of course, I would immediately buy a Taycan again for a thousand of reasons.
