Received a call from my dealer, new part on order but no idea of timing. They have been helpful, can't blame the dealer but disappointed at Porsche. Dealer has given me a hybrid Cayman, nice but not a Taycan. Their update at the end of this seemed that even they were vague on delivery timing for the part. They have put out a "technical request" across the network for assistance on the part needed. Doesn't sound too good.

Yes would be good to hear how it goes. Seems crazy that they would replace with the same part to fail again in the future so maybe a more robust part, but maybe not so effective?
After that first initial journey the heater has been absolutely fine. I did notice that Eco mode was enabled so I switched that off - I don’t think it was set before the failure so that probably explains why it didn’t seem as effective.

My heater stopped working last week, not great dealing with a Canadian winter. They have had the car for a week, no eta for the part, which sucks because I am paying a Taycan 4S lease and driving a base Macan. Anyone have any updates on heater availability/eta? Dealer says parts are on back order.

is there a reason that you cannot drive the car until the parts arrive?

Lack of heat I imagine...
seat heaters work well, in my limited time spent in extreme cold I would only use the cabin heat to initially get the chill out and then shut it down an rely on the seat heaters.

Interesting. I personally use (and expect) my heater and or A/C everytime I get into any of my cars. And when its winter, and freezing cold, I expect any car to have heat as well as heated seats.

My heater went out about 4 weeks ago. Took them 2 weeks to get it fixed...

I have pressure sensor replacements next Monday - has worked fine since new (recall campaign) and I hope they don't break it in the process!

I limited the use of the heating in my tesla for range concerns. yes you would expect the hvac to work. my point was that the OPs car is usable despite the lack of the heater.

run it for a few minutes, I never came across the need for that in cold country
Come to Scotland - 100% essential in most locations where there is rain / snow and colder temps - shocked that you don’t get it - without heat and running AC you can’t clear (or keep clear) the windows without heat (impossible) or using a cloth etc. Misting in the Taycan is probably the worst I’ve experienced in all of my Porsches over the years - Panamera was perfect.

I'm out the same part right now.
Car has been at dealer for over two weeks with no end in sight. They can't give an ETA on the part as they don't have one (which sounds to me like I'm in line for atleast another 2-3 weeks of waiting?).

I'm in CA, but can't drive the car without the part as it is causing the electrical system to give errors and prevent the car from starting.
