Positive update for me. Porsche now accepted it’s a warranty issue. They reckon 2 more weeks for new roof which would mean 5 weeks in total since it happened. They still have the car and don’t recommend me driving it. This is now massively on Porsche’s radar so don’t take any BS from them if they try to blame you!
Hope so, nearly 8 weeks for me now and still waiting ??

The information I was given by Porsche it that they believe that the screws under the roof bars may be too long hence the cracks on the roof.
i am still waiting for a replacement and have asked if I wanted to change it to the new roof retro fit , if it’s possible and the costs of the same.
At the moment Porsche are saying can only replace like for like. Computer doesnt like changes!
Waiting for response?
I’d be surprised if it is feasible. The wiring harness on your car won’t have the connections needed to power and control the variable one.

Here is another one - my ST 4S built end of April delivered 2 weeks ago and just noticed crack across inside of roof from one side to the other - no marks on outside at all - dealer has not heard of this before and will get back to me on Monday ?‍♂

My dealer tech said Porsche aware of a number of vehicles now, think my replacement part is nearly here so due in to see him on Monday. Fingers crossed they‘ve upped the spare parts orders for pano roofs off the back of this.

My Porsche dealer confirmed warranty repair today. Indication today is that the replacement glass will be delivered next week which seems surprisingly quick

Also squeaky driver’s seat: they’re replacing the base since it’s a recall item though none in stock and no delivery date.

Ah good news, I got the impression today that they might be about to start releasing fixes so you may just have good timing. Should know by end of the week when scheduled in. Still sanguine about it, been able to drive and enjoy the car and know will be fixed so all ?.

yep.
It’s been all good for me. Hasn’t affected my enjoyment of the car, the crack isn’t getting any worse as far as I can see and I don’t see it when I’m driving!

I’ve been told my roof should be in this week. But, they now have to source the tools to do the job!! I think there’s a few tools that were involved in building it in the first place!

By way of an update.
Porsche are still waiting for the replacement roof, I am told that hopeful for 4/7/22..?
Frank is correct they are not able to do the retro fit, due to wring loom etc.
I have told them, that I need this car ready to be driven to Southern Spain in Mid August, and that if they are not able to fit the roof, then I expect a like replacement for the journey.
Lets hope that it can be fixed.
Porsche also informed that they are getting more claims in for faulty roofs.

Just been told my roof has been released by Porsche, hopefully will get it booked in soon and combine with the 22kW harmonic fix. Zero qualms about driving mine with the crack though, no worse since it happened. Watertight. Is yours worse?

Did you get a notification the 22 kW charger update also applies to your car? Mine was delivered 27/4/22 and I kind of hoped it already had the update 22 kw software. And if I do need the update I was presuming the dealer would contact me.

Yeah, it came up on my account as active campaign on the 23rd. May be yours is done but worth checking. Hopefully means we are good for 32A single phase again (trying to get that confirmed).

I checked the recall site with my VIN and it didn’t show any active recalls for my VIN. I will be making some longer trips next months and will possibly need to use 7.2 kw destination chargers. Bit afraid to plug in a 7.2 charger and being stuck abroad.

Maybe check with dealer? Could be you have it from the factory, if of course this “harmonic” fix is the fix we’ve been waiting for (sounds like it). Ask if you have it, ask if now means the 32A restriction is gone ( and let us know ??).
