How warm?
Winter we see 1.5C ~ 10C (35F ~ 50F). Right now it has been 5C ~ 23C (41F ~ 73F). This summer we'll be looking at 23C ~ 32C+ (73F ~ 90F+).
I expect my range will actually drop a tick this summer when the air conditioning starts running overtime (have the thermally & noise insulated glass but it is still hot).

When it can be charged up meaningfully in 20mins, it's not that important ?
I’ve only ever charged my car overnight …except for once to make sure that plug and charge works. Just like my iPhone, I have no idea how long it takes to charge since I only charge while I sleep. If I had to choose, I would take efficiency over charging speed.

I usually don't pay that much attention to the general guess-o-meter, but rather the average efficiency for different types of driving. For typical motorway driving at ~110-120 km/h, I usually get around 23-25 kWh/100km depending on the season. It can of course be both less or more depending on the weather.

That sums up to around 330 - 360 km of range, or 205 - 224 miles.

The 'Mile High Club' I'm referring to is much more exciting than driving through Denver, which can be exciting but for all the wrong reasons. Normally, an airplane and a partner are needed and if you have BTDT... much respect?
I reckon you could do it in a Taycan, driving through Denver but that sounds dangerous.
LKA sure would help...?
We could call it the Innodrive Club...

Did 250 miles on small battery a few days ago. Road trip on range mode with ideal conditions. Hard to replicate on a daily basis, especially under heavy city traffic.

I now avoid Range mode like the plague.

I've used it a couple of times and think it's potentially dangerous. If you switch to it whilst doing over what it thinks the max speed should be, it's like applying the brakes (albeit gently, but something that needs your attention). And if it's on and you need to overtake, that process is more hassle than it should be.

I think in the latter mode you can "kick down" to push through the limit. But in either situation it should warn rather than require physical action IMO.

I was looking to maximize range to test out if software updates have improved efficiency and it looks like it did.

was driving 5 kph below speed limit consistently across the whole trip on cruise, so wasn’t too worried about having to emergency overtake etc.

only time I stray overtaking is when I’m falling asleep behind the wheel.

Just returned from a 24 hour trip - 100% charged, 94 miles each way, 62 miles left in battery on return = 250 total. Used normal mode throughout. Average 3.0 and 3.2 miles/kWh.

PB+, ambient 15degC, average 54mph mixed motorway/country roads. Pretty pleased with that. Don't understand how people get 300 miles+

I'm not sure how they get 250 - I was driving Miss Daisy to get 218 and thought I was doing well ?

Time to get some 10" Mini wheels with 155 section tyres.

I think you’re describing Intelligent Range Manager, which is associated with Navigation using Range Mode, and can be turned off.
When PIRM is turned off, you set the Range maximum speed, which can be up to 90mph. If you’re conserving range, you probably want to set it lower.

My observations match @Murph7355 ’s - I’ve tried Range mode twice, and in both occasions it felt dangerous not being able to accelerate. I had my pedal floored, cars flying left and right (was on the 2nd slowest of 4 lanes), doing 60mph and fumbling with driving modes.

(The other dangerous part was after I found the driving mode; as I was still accelerating, the car just jumped. I’m sure I could get used to it, but have no desire to try it again.)

It is that.... But I still don't like the way it works ?

Kickdown didn't really seem to be alert enough.

It's no massive biggie... I just don't use Range mode now. In Sport the car hunker down at speed, regen can be switched off and I typically have the air con in ECO anyway as it works fine at the moment.... So I suspect all the key elements of Range mode are largely covered.

For long journeys I always use Range with the max speed set to 90MPH, kick down always works for me in Range.
Apparently the aerodynamics in the ST and CT really effect the range compared to the original Taycan. I'm lucky to see 200 miles at 100%
