Yes I forgot to mention Podcasts. That gone as well.
Be interesting to see what your Porsche Connect service contracts are showing in the car. From memory its something like this in the PCM:

Settings -> Privacy and Porsche Connect -> Overview of all Porsche Connect Services

What does it say about Google POI and Apple Podcasts? Is it still showing active contracts ?

Is Google POI Supposed to be a contract in the PCM?

Because I don't have it anywhere and still have Google search, but I have Apple Podcast.

Could it be a reason for the issue, they changed it so that is not a contract anymore and it messed up people who had it as a contract in the process?

I checked that all services are active in the car yesterday and also that Privacy was inactive. Everything looked normal and Internet radio works, Apple Music works etc. I did not see if I got information about Google POI or Apple Podcast. And I do not remember if I have had these items specified before either? I mostly just check that Privacy is inactive and the rest active?

Yes my screenshot from the MyPorsche app looks like that.

But my thoughts then are that podcast comes from my phone rather than the Connect Services. My Calendar works fine and syncs between my phone and the car. Did not realise I had Spotify there either, but I do not have such a service on my phone..

Is my thinking wrong then, that Porsche have moved the Podcast function from the Porsche Services to go through the phone instead? That would save Porsche data volumes and leave that to me instead to pay instead?

It also seems this only works like Calendar when i connect my phone to the PCM via wifi in the car?

More and more confusing what they are up to I think?

I may have mis-remembered. I certainly still have the "G" option and Podcast's streaming via the PCM (i.e. nothing to do with CarPlay or iPhone) – so will check my contract list in the PCM later today.

This is the only thing that I found via the MyPorsche on the web.

And in the list of the Connect service on the web there is no mention about any other contract then the Apple Music. And that is active as can be seen.

I am going to do a hard reset today and see what happens. I will only do this once I am in a spot of superb cellular coverage though.

My connect page on the web mentions Podcasts – though its under Apple Music in the connect services list – what's going on?

But you have it as a service there. My page does not show that! Very peculiar?

The only thing I possibly could think off is that I am technically roaming here in Sweden now. Maybe it will reoccur when I come home? But it does not really make any sense. Why one and not the other??

I went directly to the dealer when I noticed google was gone and that I got errors when I tried to send a location to the car from my Porsche app. At the dealer they checked everything also the back end. Everything appeared to be working fine. To me it has to do with the different software versions used ( I have the November 2020 software snapshot) . The car can send data data to the server but the server doesn't allow data to be send to the car

Anyone recently checked whether they still can pre heat or cool the car with the app. I haven't tried it as my car is in a underground garage with poor cellular reception

That is weird. We cannot send a location to the nav but we can instruct the PCM to pre heat cool. Interesting to see what Porsche will say to me today or tomorrow

I also have the November 2020 version in my Taycan. And you are probably correct that it is linked to different software versions and capability.

I can, without logging into MyPorsche, see a long list of services that you can perform with the Connect Services. However when I log in to the app, and check what is available for my car, that list is greatly reduced and nothing that I could add except PIRM or WIFI package, which I have no interest in.

As an example of services that are listed are remote locking, unlocking etc. And these services will not work in my car since Porsche have confirmed to me that the hardware is not installed in my car.

Spending far too much time trying to get features that help an EV owner, go missing, disappearing temporarily or working intermittently.

I admit to not know/remember whether those were ever there before, also when both functions worked.
