My Car bleeps now when locking

Today my car started bleeping at me when I tried to lock the car. Huh... turns out the bleep is to alert you that a door isn’t closed, in my case the frunk.

Is it just a short beep or more like an annoying alarm type beeping?
When I lock my car, I just get the short "beep beep". I've always just thought its the way Taycan lets me know it is locking the car. Other cars do something similar, so I'm hoping you are referring to some annoying type of bleeping.

That must be a US thing. In Europe or at least the UK we have silent locking, Visual indicator flashes only.

The bleep is when a door isn't closed properly and you try to lock the car. My Swedish car is silent as well when locking if all doors are closed.

Just a short high pitched bleep. Only if a door is not properly closed.

Think it’s fairly standard nowadays for cars to beep if something not closed, at least on my current cars, c63 merc/evoque. Pretty sure you can change beeps on/off in the settings when unlocking or locking depending on pref on most cars.

Strange! It should beep. Did you discover a secret method of removing the beep? The manual does not specify a way to do that.

Perhaps I got lucky because it was an early build. I don't have the folding mirrors so sometimes I need to hit the lock button on the fob again to visually confirm by the flashing lights that the doors are locked.
